Keloran··on Bugfix.es Launched
Same problem space, but a narrower focus.

Bugfixes turns crashes into GitHub Issues or Linear tickets, raises their priority on repeats, alerts Discord, and adds optional AI diagnosis and a suggested patch. Sentry can do parts of that too;

I’m building an opinionated crash-to-ticket workflow, not a replacement for its whole observability platform.

I am currently testing the jira, bitbucket, teams, slack, and google chat integrations

Keloran··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (September 2026)
https://policy2.net - a system that allows product owners to write the rules, and let developers work out how to use true/false to determine the outcome e.g. https://policy2.net/fintech
Keloran··on Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (July 2026)
This month I have mainly been building my fork of tiny-dfr so that my 2019 mbp touchbar isn’t useless when on hyprland/cosmic

https://github.com/keloran/tiny-dfr

Unfortunately due to the way GitHub defaults to creating prs in the parent fork, I have accidentally created a few invalid prs in asahi before I was ready, and now am banned from creating a good upstream one

I am a software engineer with 25+ years experience,

recently I have been keeping myself relativly sane by building https://interviews.tools an interview planning site and its companion apps for iOS (native swift) https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/interviews-tool/id6756259187 Interviews.tool and Android (native kotlin) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tools.intervie...

source of all of those is available on github https://github.com/keloran

I have also built various tools over time for example https://flags.gg which is a feature flag system with a ton of native sdks, https://github.com/flags-gg

--

I don't mind doing technical tests but I hate technical interviews (where people have to watch me type) really if you want to know what kind of code I can produce look at my github repos, there is easily 100-200k lines of code

I am a backend engineer with over 25 years of experience in almost every language at this point, but I have been mainly dealing with Go/Typescript for the last 5 years, I have a million projects and an absolute ton of code online

https://github.com/keloran

____

A good example of a project is https://flags.gg which is a multi-tenant/project/agent/environment system which has language support in Swift/Kotlin/PHP/Ruby/Rust/Go/React and is in use in things like

https://interviews.tools which is an interview planning system that has a website written in typescript/react and an iOS app written in Swift (hence the language support) which exists on the App Store, and an Android app written in Kotlin (again hence the language support) which will/should be in the play store by the end of next week (been through testing already just waiting for play store approval)

I would prefer not to do technical tests, you don't ask a surgeon with 20 years experience to cut someone up, you accept that yes they know how to do simple things like how to write a for loop (to stretch the analogy) as I have said I have hundreds of thousands of lines of code online if you want to check out my code

Keloran··on Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (December 2025)
I have been focusing my time this month on https://interviews.tools website, iOS app and atm the android app

___

Software engineer for 20 years worked for very large and very small companies, willing to do 1-2 days a week in London, I have worked with pretty much every language at this point it seems, but always willing to learn more

I have various side projects

https://interviews.tools which is an interview planning tool to track what companies I have applied for, what stage they are at, have I heard back anything, working both offline (in browser localstorage) and signed in to allow multiple machines (open for anyone to use)

https://flags.gg which is a feature flag system that is multi-tenant, multi-project, multi-environment, multi-agent (e.g. development backend on a local machine)

and lots more

Keloran··on Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (Nov 2025)
I recently became unemployed so I am building a tracker for all my job applications what stage I am at in each process that kinda thing

https://interviews.tools

It’s no where near done

But as always I am also building https://retro-board.it for doing retros and sprint poker

And https://flags.gg for feature flags with quite a lot of agents (rust, go, react, and others)

A good example of the things I can do are https://retro-board.it or https://flags.gg

Keloran··on I launched 17 side projects. Result? I'm rich in expired domains
I am the same, the most recent side project is [Flags.gg](https://flags.gg) A feature flag system, that has a ton of agents for various languages on [Github](https://github.com/flags-gg)

Keloran··on Do aliens exist? We studied what scientists think
To not believe aliens exist is pretty arrogant, but to believe they have visited this planet is the very unlikely thing
Keloran··on Show HN: Flags.gg
Thank you for the advice

I do def need to make the landing page better

The API isn’t yet open, but the docs for the nextjs/react at https://docs.flags.gg

Keloran··on Show HN: Flags.gg
Not quite finished yet, but ready enough to soft launch, its a React landing page (needs redesigning really), NextJS dashboard, Go backend

Its a multi-project, multi-agent, multi-environment flags system, that has (imo) generous allowances for free

There is a few things that are still in the roadmap

- Conflict Flags (turning 1 flag on, auto turns off a different one)

- Environment promotion (currently flags have to be added to each env)

- Server-side usage support (only React/NextJS frontend is supported atm)

Keloran··on Lost "Doctor Who" episodes found but owner is reluctant to hand them to BBC
You don’t need a loss to occur for there to be a crime “the trump defense”

If I break into your house, eat your food, but leave money on the counter for the same value, you didn’t make a loss, but I’m sure you would want me to be arrested

Keloran··on Ask HN: Show me your half baked project
https://todo-list.app https://github.com/todo-lists-app

Security focused todo-list, all data is encrypted (clientside) before storage,

still lacking quite a few features, (e.g it only does single list {per user}) I need to add project/multi-list support

Keloran··on Ask HN: What email service should I use instead of Gmail?
I quite like https://migadu.com mainly for its very easy to understand pricing system, when you have 5+ domains and domain aliases gmail becomes very very expensive and that’s before adding all the seats
Keloran··on Framework Ethernet Expansion Card is now available
the modules are usbc, but the ports themselves are thunderbolt you can plug any thunderbolt adapter into the port directly rahter than use the "usbc" module (if you wish)

the main issue with plugging into the laptop is dimensions, because there is only so much clearence

Keloran··on Ask HN: What to do about ‘Good at programming Bad at Leetcode’
I tend to look elsewhere if companies want to do code tests, my answer to them is

“here is the many thousands of lines of code in my various GitHub accounts, don’t like the code, don’t hire me”

Keloran··on Ask HN: Share your personal site
https://keloran.dev it’s mostly just by personal ramblings, and stuff I need to remember for future usage
Keloran··on Ask HN: Will there ever be a E Ink Photo Frame?
By no means is this perfect, but you can make one “easily”

Keloran··on New MacBook Pro models to feature magsafe, no touch bar and more ports: analyst
I quite like the Touch Bar, with things like pock it means I can have full screen, hide the dock entire and still have notifications

And the ability to set custom apps inside it with iterm, and not have to loose a key on the board itself

I spend most of my time in vi when in terminal, and never had a “I’m missing an escape” ever

Keloran··on PHP the Wrong Way
whilst I don't disagree with your first part of that statement,

it would have been very difficult for him to have been a PHP programmer before being C programmer, since he invented PHP by writing it in C, which is why most PHP functions are almost exact syntax as C

Keloran··on PHP the Wrong Way
the problem is that its fine if your doing this on your own

its when you force that mentality on others because you don't know how todo it a different way that's wrong

e.g. If I only use Laravel why should my decision of only using a larval dictate that the next project has to be done in laravel, it might be something that can be done in 50 lines of code

But I only use laravel, there for you have to use laravel to solve the problem
