Jonovono··on Show HN: Capsule – Single-file web apps that save their data into SQLite
This is the approach Bento took I believe (similar idea, but just for decks): https://github.com/nyblnet/bento.

Saw it on HN a few weeks back

“Capsule.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

Will be updating my dating app photo generator asap: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pull-ai-dating-app-photos/id67...

>Ted Nelson has been on my mind a lot this year.

For anyone else that's been thinking a lot about Ted this year, I recommend this (weird) youtube series:

Jonovono··on Grok outage
Interesting, havn't noticed that. Mine will work for hours. Maybe i'm still in the "get them hooked" phase. Just started using it last week.
Jonovono··on Grok outage
Been very skeptical for awhile but decided to try it cause it was like $30 for 3 months or something. I cancelled my Claude subscription (still have codex), but been pretty impressed with the grok CLI. Nice TUI and seems intelligent thus far.
Jonovono··on Nitter and XCancel receive cease and desist notices
Ah, yes, because I trust a social network founded by a guy that helped build Pornhub
Jonovono··on Show HN: PicoMQ – Durable Streams over HTTP, on object storage
Thanks for the reply, sounds great, going to dive in!
Jonovono··on Show HN: PicoMQ – Durable Streams over HTTP, on object storage
I’ve been obsessed with everything durable lately and this is good timing as electric just got acquired so the state of their durable streams project is unknown.

Have you looked into the semantics of their like StreamDB stuff ? Pretty interesting

Also there is this that was built on top of it. Sounds somewhat similar goal as yours but I could be off. Need to explore more https://ursula.tonbo.io/

Jonovono··on Rama 0.4: System proxy and PAC support
Thought this was about Rama (https://redplanetlabs.com/) and got excited. Recently found out about that and have been intrigued
Jonovono··on How Bluesky draws its logo on screenshots
Just since Nikita joined (altho now he's gone, doubt they will remove it tho)
Jonovono··on App Store Rejection of the Week: Dark Hours
Don't worry. The next time you spend lots of time developing an app, Apple will be sure to reject it multiple times ;p
Jonovono··on App Store Rejection of the Week: Dark Hours
Somewhat, but still very subjective. https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/#spa...

You can still always get around them (at least my experience), but it just takes a lot of time

Jonovono··on App Store Rejection of the Week: Dark Hours
They arn't against Astrology apps. It's that there are a few categories where apple has just stopped allowing new ones since there are so many.
Jonovono··on The Warp Agent CLI
The other day in warp I literally couldn't run `ls` because it kept interpreting it as a AI command. I still love warp, but some of the stuff is crazy.
Jonovono··on Shots: Codex and MCP Plugin for Making App Store Screenshots
Using Figma to make app store screenshots was always my least favorite part of launching an app.

Since the first image models started coming out i've been testing each on making app store screenshots, hoping one would be able to handle it.

Finally, with OpenAIs gpt image 2, it was finally possible!

I made an open source library that gained some traction but not everyone had gpt image 2 API Keys (you need to be verified corp) so I decided to make it as a MCP that you can add to any agent.

It's very simple to use. When you are done coding it up, add the MCP and tell it to make screenshots. It will pull in reference image, screenshots and your theme and research the space then propose some ideas that you can approve/refine.

I also handle revisions and translations as well as app store copy.

Would love any feedback and if you run out of the free three screenshots but not ready to pay feel free to message the chat I can give you some more credits for feedback!

Jonovono··on Why do we think we understand the world more than we actually do?
Reminds me of this comedy set https://youtu.be/Tf17rFDjMZw?si=QRyLMlfuKhavUnE7
Jonovono··on Hologram works. Elixir runs in the browser
Literally just had Mob surface from a chatgpt (or Claude I forget) session and am really intrigued.

Jonovono··on $100 AI Music Video: Claude Fable 5 vs. GPT-5.6 Sol
This is my favorite AI generated (or assisted?) music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctBpVI6lRyo
Jonovono··on Bryan Johnson: I have an autoimmune disease. My stomach is eating itself
I used to buy his act too but once he started doing psychedelics and live streaming it, it became clear it was all just a scam
Jonovono··on The Exhaustion of Talking to a Tool
Man, I don't know. LLMs (with the good and bad) feel like the first time a tool has genuinely been an extension of me. And quite the opposite. I'm a quite introverted person. Spending time in a meeting or talking with other humans I find quite exhausting. I don't really get that at all with talking with LLMs.
Jonovono··on Pledging another $400k to the Zig software foundation
Very interesting, but wild to me how much this guy resembles Elon (in not only appearance but also mannerisms and way he speaks)
Jonovono··on "Run the agent program" in 1978
Saw this show connections on Stremio, sounded interesting and put it on. This scene caught my attention ;p

Jonovono··on Run this Claude skill in your repo to make upload ready app store screenshots
Ya, before I was using a mix of nano and seedream. It was not bad, but I find the control with gpt image is very good!
Jonovono··on Run this Claude skill in your repo to make upload ready app store screenshots
Making screenshots has always been my least favorite part of an app. I'd spend hours fiddling in Figma and nothing would ever be quite how I wanted.

I've been trying every model since AI image gen came out to see if they could do them. Nothing was consistently good enough.

With gpt image 2, it's finally consistent enough to use to generate app store screenshots that look incredible (imo), hallelujah!

It's pretty cheap too, about 20 cents a screenshot. And i've been impressed with the quality!

If you use it please PR your examples if they turned out good, or leave a issue if the result wasn't very good - i'm still tweaking the prompts

Jonovono··on iPhone 17e
If we could get a 13 mini sized phone with some better battery that would be great
Jonovono··on Simplenote is no longer in active development
It's optional btw, it's bring your own key. I'm debating taking it out too as I find if I wanna use AI with it, I usually just open claude code in the folder in the terminal..
Jonovono··on Simplenote is no longer in active development
Ya I made it with swift using ST Text View. Would love a Linux version as I just bought a Linux to use on the side. So we will see heh
Jonovono··on Simplenote is no longer in active development
Oh really weird.
