JimWestergrenon Show HN: The Billboard, a fully decentralised billboard stored in Ethereum

I remember when the transaction fee was $800 ... I had to wait for next day when it was back to around $120.

JimWestergrenon Show HN: The Billboard, a fully decentralised billboard stored in Ethereum

Nice and I just tried it with the amount 0,003.

But first and third line disappeared :( https://etherscan.io/tx/0x3c4ba696cc0996a9fa2bc12d3c4b04cebf...

It was supposed to be:

TheSpaceWar.com

New fast-paced strategic 2 player card game

No pay-to-win game - all cards included!

Can it be fixed please? I am using Firefox with uBlock Origin.

JimWestergrenon Creating the Space War – The Card Game of My Dreams

My wife told me that for this game to succeed it has to be addictive and the online version has to have a lot of nice animation and sound effects.

I fear that she is right, what do you think?

JimWestergrenon Covid-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca renamed to “Vaxzevria”

Any reason for the name change besides bad press with the old name?

JimWestergrenon Problems with low DNS TTLs

But 5 minutes should be fine? It surprised me that so many has 1 second or 20 second TTL.

JimWestergrenon Problems with low DNS TTLs

Found an earlier HN discussion about this question from November 2019: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=21437160

JimWestergrenon Problems with low DNS TTLs

But those are no valid use cases which was my question. So there are no valid use cases at all?

JimWestergrenon Problems with low DNS TTLs

What is the use cases for having the TTL shorter than 5 minutes?

JimWestergrenon Ask HN: Show me your half baked project

https://thespacewar.com/

The Space War is a a card game I have been working on as a side project since summer 2018. Similar but in my opinion better than Hearthstone and Magic.

Can be played online for free in the browser here https://play.thespacewar.com/

Need help with Node development, sound effects and playtesters.

JimWestergrenon Ask HN: Who's looking for a co-founder?

I hear you. You can play it as guest here without registering https://play.thespacewar.com/

JimWestergrenon Ask HN: Who's looking for a co-founder?

Omg, fixed thank you so much. Something I had changed this morning and not tested correctly ...

JimWestergrenon Ask HN: Who's looking for a co-founder?

It is up? https://isitup.org/thespacewar.com

Is it down for anyone else?

JimWestergrenon Ask HN: Who's looking for a co-founder?

I have been working on a card game as a side project since mid 2018 that in my opinion plays better than Hearthstone and Magic: https://thespacewar.com/

Looking for a partner really like these kind of games that can take care of the marketing of the game and help push the project forward. Also maybe that can do technical work on the online browser version (Vue/Node). The online version is playable (alpha) and maybe 80% complete, try as guest here https://play.thespacewar.com/

Contact me either on Discord https://discord.gg/tv3DXqj or info...thespacewar.com if you have any interest at all :)

JimWestergrenon Google Photos will end its free unlimited storage in June 2021

This is going to be a problem in the future.

Cameras keep getting better outputting bigger and bigger video and photo files.

Big percentage of the population has Google Photos as their single point of backup.

I don't like Googles threat of login each 2 years or we nuke everything.

People could be in coma, prison, religious sects etc for longer than 2 years without internet connection.

Lot's of people living in exotic areas don't have regular internet connection as well.
