Evergreen is the company, Ever given is the boat.

Evergreen is the name of the company, all of their ships have an Ever prefix. This one is called the Ever Given

Evergreen is a huge Taiwanese shipping company, Ever Given is the name of this particular ship.

There are probably several dozen ships around the world with the words "Evergreen" on its side.

(Cue jokes about earth (they have trucks) and water blockages soon to be followed by air. I haven't seen a good fire theory yet.)

I spent the first half hour learning about all this being really confused when I kept seeing Evergreen written on the side of the ship (and not the much smaller Ever Given near the bow.)
