It takes a long time to thoughtfully design a new chassis, electrified or not. It also takes a long time to build up manufacturing capacity, especially when they key ingredients such as battery cells were not integral to the chassis of the past.
The F-150 Lightning has clearly evoked interest. It could have come a lot sooner. But perhaps Ford can be an effective fast follower, especially if it figures out how to address sticky points like 1) managing dealer relationships and 2) writing software. These issues are business/cultural challenges, so may require more care to address than engineering problems, which Ford has a history (a century!) solving effectively.
"Mindlessly responsive" -> When the content is outside the demarcated safe zone, it's not visible on little screens. Simple ruleset, no brain required. If I just want to get some fun content on a webpage, I either paint in the lines or intentionally paint beyond them.
See pp. 23-25, "Local Variances".

(I have no association with the company.)
What sorts of decisions can we glean from this technical analysis?
What appears to be happening is a fusion of both paper and digital as a best practice. Important information is recorded digitally because it is fast and convenient, and also recorded in analogue, on paper, to leave a legal trail and backup for when the electronic systems go down (and they do go down).

Suggestions: As a user commented on another post, it's a bit tough to type fast without seeing more words on the screen. I settled on 3 words at a time which was okay('ish).
I'd be interested in trying it with the timer bar going from left to right instead of growing from the center. Would give things more of a 'race' feeling.
The sound effects are nice.
Nice resume site, btw. You're very accomplished!
Edit: I misread your post. The Opened Captions servers pull CC data in via serial port. Thanks for providing a bridge to this live data.
That's a huge opportunity to catch lightning flashes over a high quality time lapse from August to October 2011 (the time span of the video).
The astronauts' real-time views from the ISS' windows must be amazing. If I were up there in the ISS, I'd never get any work done because I'd be staring out the window the whole time!

Suggestions: - decrease the page width some. Both hainbit1.png and hainbit2.png are partly cut-off at normal browser widths. - add captions to each URL. (As jk86 suggested, delicious integration would be neat.) - ability to drag and rearrange the link boxes.

How might regulation help spur growth in this area?
