JS, C#, Go, cloud stuff.
Protip: Go to Carioca in Astoria or Copacabana on 39th Ave. Holy shit Brazilians can cook.
Lake Nebagamon WI is a small town.

2: Tesla self driving is statistically shit, the only two players that count are Cruise and Waymo, and only one of those makes cars. Either way, we're really far off from most people caring outside of HN
3: Electrify America in the US, and a bunch of public stations in Europe. It's a fancy plug, I don't get why people act like they're unobtanium. You can throw one in a Target parking lot and boom, extra customers for an hour or so. I bet they'd even pay for the installation.
4: Sure, I'll give you this one
I love America and American cars, and I want a great new American car company. Tesla is acting like a Silicon Valley parody, and needs to get their shit together. If they can, they can use their brand advantage - they're the new, true Cadillac - and mindshare to kick serious ass.
NYC learned the lessons when we went through something much (much!) smaller with Robert Moses destroying huge swathes of the city, so now doing anything takes forever. That's a feature of representative government - I get to complain about the new bike lane bioswale design, and they have to listen. This is slow. They don't have the same official processes in China, so they are fast, in both wonderful and horrible things.
When people talk about CNN being fake news, they're talking about this article. This is only feasible in the minds of people on HN/elites. People in the rest of the country, not so much. It's fascinating to me that in an era of staunch conservatism this is treated as something approaching possible.

People can get blind about things that achieve their goals
No one lived there until very recently, and the people that do are rich as fuck - it's basically a discount Midtown East. The poor people who live in the nearby projects came out strongly in _favor_ of Amazon opening up and lobbied the city hard - turns out Amazon also needs janitors, cafes etc.

I get what you're going for, HN loves to hate on the US.
