Integer··on British Museum hosted Peter Thiel in private viewing of Bayeux tapestry
On the Bayeux Tapestry page [1] you can see that "there are no restrictions on dates or time slots for groups" and "For premium tours out-of-hours please contact traveltradebookings@britishmuseum.org"

It may have been arrranged by a business associate or a personal assistant, but I bet Thiel spent less time thinking about getting access to this tapestry than you reading through the article.

Sure, here's the link to the page to do so: https://www.britishmuseum.org/commercial/venue-hire
Integer··on Woman stranded in Spain after UK's eVisa system mistakes her for twin sister
This sounds like a confused support agent. The system lacks a notion of twins - it doesn't link accounts via biometrics. The names are similar but not equal and the passport numbers would also be different, so how would their accounts be linked? Perhaps they used the same email when registering by mistake?
Integer··on The shingles vaccine may reduce the risk of dementia
Weird, I went to a travel vaccination clinic in London and got it no questions asked (the nurse was even familiar with the dementia research). Try calling privatemedicalclinic.com ?
Integer··on AMD silently removes memory encryption from consumer Ryzen CPUs
I had this enabled as it protects against RAMbleed/ECC errors, so it's not limited to physical attacks.
Integer··on How the UK lost its shipbuilding industry
A minimum amount of 10 years is needed to get the basic pension (which is proportional to years worked), but years on Universal Credit (benefits) count towards this. Also, anyone who is of pension age is entitled to a Pension Credit top-up to a weekly income of £227.10.
Integer··on EU court rules nuclear energy is clean energy
You mean, everyone watched the TV story which has little basis in fact. Chernobyl was the worst case scenario - there's no way to build a reactor that would produce worse radiation effects when destroyed than to use a pile of graphite.

G20 Targets for Enhancing Cross-border Payments[1]:

“Reaffirm UN SDG: Global average cost of sending $200 remittance to be no more than 3% by 2030, with no corridors with costs higher than 5%” “75% of cross-border remittance payments in every corridor to provide availability of funds for the recipient within one hour of payment initiation and for the remainder of the market to be within one business day, by end-2027” “More than 90% of individuals (including those without bank accounts) who wish to send or receive a remittance payment to have access to a means of cross-border electronic remittance payment by end-2027”

Integer··on Don't sell space in your homelab (2023)
That's exactly how it works in Russia. This led to some innovative services and exotic contermeasures, like locating the datacentres inside the perimeter of military factories (hard for LEOs to breach unnoticed), or installing racks inside trucks - you have time to drive them out of a nearby building while the front doors are breached.
Integer··on Meta employee buys 12-year lease on cruise ship to see the world while working
Note that there is a separate page [1] about tax benefits on the company website:

"When finances are structured accordingly, people who plan to run a business, foundation or other entity from the ship, can be considered to be on a continuous business trip. In this case, it may be possible to write off most annual fees."

"The ship is flagged in the Bahamas and the related fund is based in Liechtenstein. These could be considered the domicile for a business, foundation or other entity based on board (or another jurisdiction). While some ‘offshore’ models are illegitimate, in this instance, the asset is an investment in a fund attached to the rights to use a home office based offshore; so this is a perfectly legitimate use of offshore structures in tax-advantaged jurisdictions."

Integer··on MikroTik RouterOS v7 stable released
You could try Turris Omnia, it has beefy hardware and sane defaults. Or some other solutions with OpenWRT pre-installed.
Integer··on There are six internet links on my office on wheels—seven when Starlink arrives
FYI, Teltonika RUTX14 has CAT12.
Integer··on Data from Chernobyl and Fukushima provide answers about the risks of nuclear
There was no increase of nuclear risk because of drones, and no need to increase the protection of the powerplants, for the very simple reason that there is nothing a drone can do against meters of reinforced concrete protecting the reactor. A drone big enough to do more than scratch the paint would be classified as a cruise missile, and that risk was understood since before the first nuclear powrplant was turned on.
Integer··on Telegram messaging app proves crucial to Belarus protests
>So their operators claim. But it's not clear why that would be true and I haven't seen any numbers to demonstrate it either. Have you?

Telegram had to survive Russia's attempt to ban it, so it evolved a number of strategies: using push notifications to deliver IP-adresses of not-yet-blocked servers, using socks-proxies, the evolution of the MTProto Proxy encrypted protocol, and finally resorting to steganography to mimic ordinary https traffic, thus evading the DPI.

The attempts of the state censorship agency to block the telegram servers were hilarious to watch: at one point they had 0.5% of the IPv4 address space banned, and broke a lot of stuff (AWS, Google, DigitalOcean, OVH, etc). Telegram was still working, of course.

Integer··on Russia Says Small Nuclear Reactor Blew Up in Deadly Accident
It is strange indeed, given that this is not the first time lots of people die via missile explosion in Russia (see Nedelin catastrophe[1]).

Integer··on Show HN: AirHelp flight scanner finds all past flights and checks for eligibility
IMO, the legal network and a reputation of always suing airlines are the most important things in this line of business. For example, if you are seriously delayed while departing from an EU airport, you are entitled to a compensation. Inside the EU this mostly works, but consider the case when you live outside the EU and the non-EU airline basically tells you: "sue us". I'm currently using the services of one of their competitors to try and extract 250 euros from one small airline that thinks that because they're outside the EU they can delay a flight for two days and not pay the legal amount.
Integer··on NRO records related to the creation of the NROL-76 logo
Favorite quotes:

I asked XXXXX,the NRO PSO, if fairing logos require White House approval. XXXXX said after the octopus logo (NROL-39), the White House threatened to require presidential approval if the NRO approved any more menacing logos.

This Latin approach has worked before and allowed one of my previous organizations to have the slogan "Doing God's work with other people's money" fly right through the approval process. [1] [1]https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2012/02/youre-m...

Integer··on Avoiding being scammed in ICO “pump-and-dump” schemes
How about a modern investment project in construction industry based on blockchain technology? An ICO investment in the infrastructure of a plot of land in Russia, which will make you a 300% return. Of course, All transactions will be securely processed in Ethereum Virtual Machine and stored in a blockchain – distributed database on numerous nodes around the globe. Decentralized consensus gives Ethereum extreme levels of fault tolerance, ensures zero downtime, and makes data stored on the blockchain forever unchangeable and censorship-resistant.
