H4CK3RM4N··on Linux on Dex
I think you’re underestimating Apple’s chip performance. Going by https://browser.geekbench.com/ the best performing Android devices(Samsung’s special thing for single-core, Snapdragon 845 in a OnePlus for multi-core) appear around even with an A10 for single-core and an A10X with multi-core. If this/last year’s Android chips were enough to make Dex viable, you’d expect last generation’s iPad Pro and the iPhone 7 to be capable of running Apple’s solution.
H4CK3RM4N··on Apple Reports Fourth Quarter Results
iOS 12 supports the 5s, which was released in 2013.

H4CK3RM4N··on Valve Rolls Out Wine-Based “Proton” for Running Windows Games on Linux
Or systemd/Windows, depending on how long it takes.
H4CK3RM4N··on Microsoft Is Said to Have Agreed to Acquire GitHub
Maybe for Microsoft.
H4CK3RM4N··on Microsoft Is Said to Have Agreed to Acquire GitHub
But controlling a leading platform so completely isn't cheap.

H4CK3RM4N··on Medium tries to prevent people reading deleted articles on the Wayback Machine?
No more than Spanish, and you wouldn't be making this argument wrt a Mexican company.
H4CK3RM4N··on The impossibly wide learning of Sabine Baring-Gould
Chris-Chan is arguably the most documented person in history(click around sonichu.com for some idea of the scope of documentation), but there's still so much of the minutiae of their life which is unknown, but they would probably consider those things incredibly important.
H4CK3RM4N··on [dead]
I remembered hearing about Cambridge Analytica having access to Facebook data from unsavoury parts on the internet last year, and I wanted to check how far back this was known of.

To wit: "A little-known data company, now embedded within Cruz’s campaign and indirectly financed by his primary billionaire benefactor, paid researchers at Cambridge University to gather detailed psychological profiles about the US electorate using a massive pool of mainly unwitting US Facebook users built with an online survey."

H4CK3RM4N··on ‘Success’ on YouTube Still Means a Life of Poverty
It looks like this is disregarding sponsorships tho. My mental model is ~$300 per video for a reasonable sized channel, which(with weekly videos) could well double their income estimates.
H4CK3RM4N··on How Isaac Asimov shaped robotics and space exploration and predicted the Internet
I'm amazed that this article skips over the fact that Asimov invented the term "robotics", and co-opted "robot" for autonomous machines.
H4CK3RM4N··on The UX of AI
Well then the AI will help you capture every moment you care about.
H4CK3RM4N··on The Church of BSD (2005)
It redirects from a google search.
H4CK3RM4N··on Mitigations landing for new class of timing attack
I think that means it's been pushed to the release channel.
H4CK3RM4N··on Netflix Stole My VHS Cassette Photos for Its Stranger Things Boxed Set
He asked customer support where to take his complaint, not to address his issue. They sent him to the pr email, if he was given the corporate contact he would have gone there.
H4CK3RM4N··on Woman Banned from US After Border Agent Finds Proof of Drug Use on Phone
That is a fair description of US border controls post 9-11, yes.
H4CK3RM4N··on Why We Terminated Daily Stormer
Yeah, why isn't every tech worker as open on their opinions as James Danmore?
H4CK3RM4N··on The Daily Stormer, Online Speech, and Internet Registrars
And there are plenty of hammer and sickles at left leaning marches, but nobody argues that they're trying to reinstate a soviet state and put millions in death camps.
H4CK3RM4N··on Time-Travelling with Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary
This make me wonder what performing basic sentiment analysis on the words for each year would reveal.
H4CK3RM4N··on About This Googler's Manifesto
But if the biological innate differences exist, why must they be disregarded?
H4CK3RM4N··on About This Googler's Manifesto
From the Gizmodo article[1], "The text of the post is reproduced in full below, with some minor formatting modifications. Two charts and several hyperlinks are also omitted." The several hyperlinks are probably his sources.

H4CK3RM4N··on Mozilla’s Send makes it easy to send a file from one person to another
Why word documents instead of powerpoint slides?
H4CK3RM4N··on Indictment of Marcus Hutchins aka "Malwaretech"
Not that it effects you're point, but Assange is an Australian citizen.
H4CK3RM4N··on Emergence of Original Music Through Algorithms
Hatsune Miku already seems to be doing a pretty good job of handling the physical appearance bit.

H4CK3RM4N··on App sizes are out of control
Facebook in particular likes to break their web apps to push you to use the native one. If you ever need to use Facebook in the browser try mbasic.facebook.com(it even includes their messenger).

H4CK3RM4N··on If SoundCloud Disappears, What Happens to Its Music Culture?
Actual YouTube-based advertising revenue is notoriously incredibly low. Most creators will ultimately make more money from Amazon affiliate links or sponsorships than Adsense. In terms of actual numbers, I've often hears that the Social Blade estimates are well above what actually ends up with creators.
H4CK3RM4N··on Mozilla launches voice search, file-sharing and note-taking tools for Firefox
I feel like I heard that a Chrome install was comparable in size to an average Linux install a year or two ago.
H4CK3RM4N··on Krita Foundation in Trouble
I think there's a clear distinction between what Krita is doing, where the products sold are largely independent of work on developing software, and Apple, where the second company solely dealt with money and didn't perform work independently.
