The developer you are talking about didn't break the rules of the app store. Epic -the one with the development of Unreal Engine- is an entirely different legal entity than the one that broke Apple's rules - the forthnite developer. X broke a rule, Apple got pissy and punished both X and Y because both have the same owners. As the judge also acknowledged in the ruling.

Except the developer Apple wanted to ban was Epic and their Unreal engine. That is an entirely different legal entity and developer than Fortnite the game developers on the app store. It also says so in the ruling. So what Apply did was punish X for what Y did. They might as well have banned Microsoft for siding with Epic.

One can agree with one side or the other but this is nothing short of Apple using its dominant position to try and hurt Epic because they got mad. It has nothing to do with kicking someone out for breach of the app store rules. Fortnight and Epic's Unreal engine are two entirely different legal entities. As you could have read in the ruling.

Really? Please look at a map of europe and see how much wilderness you can find. Not a forest but actual real wild nature without humans or buildings. Almost anything you find is only there because it is useless for farming. I live outside cities but I have never in my life seen any wilderness outside television and pictures.

Sounds to me exactly like what they said before they unveiled the Xbox with always on Kinect spyware. I have owned the console that was the best in its generation so I'm not a fanboy of one or the other brand but I'm seeing a pattern here with these announcements and the games that isn't up to par (like Halo). I hope I'm wrong since competition is good for consumers but I fear the PlayStation will be the one to buy for gamers again. Absolutely, but not under US rules or law outside the US. Tiktok should be allowed to collect just as much information as Facebook and Google or more if they want to as as long as it legal. This whole trying to make different rules in the US for foreign businesses is worse than what China is blamed of doing. Chinese businesses have more rules to follow in China than foreign businesses. Exactly the opposite than what the US is doing.

If the US won't do business with Chinese businesses because they are sometimes mixed in with the state they are playing favourites because lots and lots of trade is done with state owned and run businesses from other countries, like Scandinavia. I have never seen an add or a video on Google Play except a line of "Suggested for you" apps which I guess are paid for? I used to agree but turning off these settings on a modern (IE. OLED) TV and you might as well throw it out. 24 FPS on a OLED without these techniques looks like something is about to shake apart.
