It's probably a little of both in reality but it's an interesting idea.
The only thing I'll say is if you've read that Assassin's Creed is "based" on Alamut, you might be a bit disappointed. I would say it's more of a "heavy influence".
As you can imagine some people do great with it but I'm also aware of some catastrophes.
I like to think that our relationship, where we're free to vent about our work but also talk about and enjoy lots of other things, helps to keep us both mentally healthy.
I was thinking this throughout a large portion of the article. Imagine how different things would have been if Julian and Carl stopped emailing each other "rapidly" and "frantically" and picked up the phone (or setup a Zoom meeting or whatever).

How do vim people quickly navigate their code without going "what was the name of that file with that function"?
note: I've only played the original game and the remake on PS4 and seen Advent Children.
Those movies have worse visuals than Dune imo.
The thing died on my desk at work, wouldn't even turn on, just a few days before I was going on a long trip so after a few hours of looking for fixes and talking to support I just went to an Apple store and got an iPhone. Now I at least feel comfortable that if I have an issue I can go to a physical store and get help in a pinch.
