Ceezy··on US Cybercom says mass exploitation of Atlassian Confluence vulnerability ongoing
I don't remember a company like whatsapp having this kind of problems.
Ceezy··on Boys in Custody and the Women Who Abuse Them
< Last I checked, in far too many cases, the legal definition of rape literally makes it a crime that cannot be committed by a woman. Or by anybody, unfortunately. But this is also the institution never wanting to be accountable for its errors. These people place is a jail. Will see if they consent to have sex with their own prison guard.
Ceezy··on Terrorist watchlist exposed via misconfigured Elasticsearch cluster
These people are morons! They claimed to be crème de la crème and watch. Few years ago they wanted to force Apple to create a "secure backdoor". Hope we gonna get more details.

Sorry for the rant

Ceezy··on Ethereum just activated its ‘London’ hard fork
But that's not peer to peer. And people compare bitcoin/ ethereum to gold, but you can't really exchange ethereum without a centralised authority when you use POS. If these people refuse to process your payment, there is not much you can do about it.
Ceezy··on Ethereum just activated its ‘London’ hard fork
It helps that most people don't know the difference between peer to peer and decentralized...
Ceezy··on South Korea: The only middle power of its kind
Exepnsive cities are tied to low birth rate not just cities. Lagos is a megalopolis but with good birthrate.
Ceezy··on Mathematics Cheat Sheet [pdf]
Math cheatsheet made by others are not very useful. When it's not about a large public API it doesn't really make sense. People also forget that most theorems/formulas have slight modifications that are very useful but make these kind of enterprise very difficult.
Ceezy··on The rise of crypto laundries: how criminals cash out of Bitcoin

Ceezy··on An Update on the UMN Affair
> the simple truth of the matter is that regular kernel developers continue to insert bugs at such a rate that there should be little need for malicious actors to add more.

As an "average" dev I think the conclusion is totally unfair. Comparing a non intentional bug with intentional one(aka malware). I think Principle should matter and these people they violated the rules. And they should be morally shamed and legally sued. I certainly don't want to be mixed with them. Whatever people think of the quality of my code.

I understand that's a lot of work and just from a code quality prospective that's the same. But for the community of millions open source projects that's a terrible message to send.

Ceezy··on Google promised its contact tracing app was completely private, but it wasn’t
Do we know what kind of users info are contained in these logs? It seems a bit misleading.
Ceezy··on Study finds ride-sharing intensifies urban road congestion
More accessibility to a car => more car on the road => more traffic jam.
Ceezy··on Tetris-OS: An operating system that only plays Tetris
That's a catchy hook but terribly misleading!
Ceezy··on Show HN: I made a Hacker News for the automotive industry
I'm still gonna say congratulation!!! But I think executing a fairly "easy" project such as hacker news for X. And not providing key (UI) features of hackernews seems a bit misleading. Specifically presenting to an audience of software engineers.

People should be able to connect from their car I guess. I'm not sure it would work as is. HN would. It's just the beginning, post the update.

Ceezy··on Google used ‘double-Irish’ to shift $75.4B in profits out of Ireland
Thank you for tell us what to think. We are genuine idiots, we feel more secure in our lives now.
Ceezy··on Linus Torvalds on Rust support in kernel
He doesn't mention that it's an alpha feature
Ceezy··on The Economics of 24/7 Lo-Fi Hip-Hop YouTube Livestreams
It's more jazzy and relax in general. It's usually slow. It's quite good to work.

Ceezy··on Facebook axes 16,000 groups for trading fake reviews after UK intervenes
Well, I'm a very small unlaunched start up ;). So I have very few $ to find people interested by my product.
Ceezy··on Facebook axes 16,000 groups for trading fake reviews after UK intervenes
Are you talking about actual human trafficking? Do you have a link?
Ceezy··on Facebook axes 16,000 groups for trading fake reviews after UK intervenes
Just wondering, is anyone happy with FB ad/recommendation tools? Cause a friend in the ad business was telling that FB ad never perform and she stoped.
Ceezy··on Huawei deactivates AI and cloud business group in restructuring
US is still in Irak now... It's really not hard to find where the US is military active.

The US jail population is 2 M, China, 1.5 M. It's little stuff like this that make the US look worse than China.

Be sure that once China is finished killing Uyghur they will say that's an old story like ... hum ... the US. So yeah continue justify crimes, just remember one day, it could be your turn.

Ceezy··on Huawei deactivates AI and cloud business group in restructuring
So if only now matter you mean that nobody should pay their debt? Cause i know a country who goes to extreme length to get back his money... So which was in it? Both ways i guess.

By the way if you interested the US is STILL in Irak, Donald Trump PARDON the CEO of Blackwater, US is supporting the war in Yemen, look it up it goes on and on....

Ceezy··on Huawei deactivates AI and cloud business group in restructuring
Slavery /native american genocide, Philippine colonisation, no reason whatsoever to attack Iraq...
Ceezy··on One woman's struggle to remove all traces of videotaped sexual assault
So you think showing NO proof is better? It's real world we are talking about. The reason backpage and co got busted by the FBI is because of the amount of shady activity. And pornhub is definitely hight on the list of shady sites. Also a lot porn site are just own by porn company so they already have the contracts. Just don't be surprise when you see FBI indictments.
Ceezy··on New Mexico is the second state to ban qualified immunity
What you are saying is factually wrong. If I can sue a mall security for something. I should be able to sue a police officer for the same. The job of the defendant doesn't change the status of the charge/request. Most public servant don't work as a spy imbedded in Russia.
Ceezy··on New Mexico is the second state to ban qualified immunity
I think it's more about finding the right middle ground than anything else. So expanding is good if people are still responsible in a way.

I agree that a lot of time the institution are liable (mostly for ordering people to achieve impossible target).
