A good reminder why I shouldn’t come to hacker news anymore.
Not even sure how that's possible.
Sorry if I'm sounding defensive here, but I'm really not into having a worse experience just to fit I to Microsoft's hellscape.
It's a basic next.js app, nothing special.
I tried the app service config on GitHub actions and it was ridiculous to say the least. 15 minutes to copy the files over and then it didn't launch the app correctly even after I specified how to launch it. Pitfalls at every step.
It's like the UI was designed by a child.
You're saying a lot of "just", and to be honest those tasks aren't simple things that I can just do. For example having a docker registry that I now have to secure and babysit is not what I'm here for.
I'm not sure why you're trying to argue that Azure is good.
Also it's incredibly slow.

And the fact that we're locked into using it means I have to take my 50 second netlify deploy and migrate it to a 15 minute ADO deploy, losing out on loads of features and gaining none.
It's because they have a bad culture and developers who could never care about their capitalist hell products.
Once your company is stuck into a contract with them it's almost impossible to change, so why do they care about fixing anything.
Chrome on Android
I've been using them since 2011 and have not had a single issue.
In fact, they have just kept on progressively getting better!
DeBuyer carbon steel pans are the same price as Lodge cast iron and are much lighter and better for certain tasks. The handle is a lot longer too, which makes it more fun to use than cast iron.
I always use dish soap, and it will definitely take off any oil that hasn't been polymerised.
I think the people who believe this (and use cast iron) probably haven't seasoned it hot enough or have scraped off the seasoning close enough to the metal.
