Marvel is Disney.

I don't think Primer is something everyone should watch. There's a specific audience for that movie and most people aren't in it.

They should harness it's energy instead.

I'd feel worse about it, but I've been using Firefox for the same reason for ages.

They're in a position to slow progress as well as steal information.

I quit using ZFS when FreeBSD managed to somehow lose the entire zpool it was installed on. That was a long time ago, so I'd hope it's better now, but I've had no reason or inclination to waste my time with it since.

If you don't ask question two, there's no point in asking question one.

Unless they find the place teeming with life, which nobody expects, it's more likely that anything they find hitched a ride from Earth instead of originated on the planet. So if they're not willing to rule that possibility out, they'll just end up causing decades of speculation and conspiracy theories.

There's room for $15 million movies because it's a relatively cheap gamble. They can risk releasing a few cheap movies a year, hoping that one becomes popular enough they can milk the IP dry. Or they find their next big actor/actress.

But past the cheap gamble phase, studios start doubling down and throw in big name actors, and start advertising the crap out of it, hoping to get people to watch it. There's no $25 million movies, because they end up $50 million movies.

Hardcore Star Wars fans decided George Lucas went senile because they can't fathom that he doesn't like them and didn't make the movies for their sake.

A friend of mine ran off with some people to grow crops in an underground bunker to survive WWIII or something like that.

I haven't kept in touch so I don't know how that panned out.
