Well, this is one kind of modern skepticism I particularly like: Does gravity kill if one jumps off a cliff? Is a sphere round? Is it really bad if we give up our freedom? Who are we to think for ourselves?
When questions like this are asked, the damage is already done. And it seems like it's already beyond repair.
It's when big investors decided they'd better keep a selected few companies on life support while they kill fair competition with their suicidal price dumping, and then milk the monopolies they inevitably become.
They don't lay off because they're on their deathbeds, they do so because of automation and optimization. No need for that many mechanical turks.
People today seem to be scared to death to think different (not as in apple).
One does not simply question the official corona narrative here without being censored by downvoting or flagging.
But answering your question: that's because such scenario was not developed and funded. Yet.

Having said that, the freedom to fail should only apply to individuals. Corporate or government entities should never be treated as humans and be allowed to fail the hard way. First, because the magnitude of consequences are incomparable, and second, because the strings of corporate responsibilities are entangled in such a way so as to lead nowhere. They can always lose a head and grow another one.
As to crossing of one's individual freedom into another's, that's what the service men are for. But it was alright while they operated under presumption of innocence. Now they are clearly trying to render people guilty until proven otherwise. That was one of the points in my first reply.
