I've been coding in C recently and really enjoy the limitations. Usually there's only one way to do something.
This kind of reminds me of the argument between immediate mode user interfaces and retained mode user interfaces.
“We have don’t have assigned desks”.
“Hot take: I’ve never found Norm Macdonald funny and was pretty sure all my comedy friends who did were either nuts or screwing with me”
Personally, I do not understand why that’s worth harassing the guy. There are strange people out there.
I know plenty of people who sell something for $20, and spend $30 on Google Ads to get that user to their site.
Last time I created a blog I aimed to have it up that day.
IMO the text is more important than the HTML and CSS
I worked with someone else who didn’t have a computer at home. Their coding style was “write code that I don’t have to support, I don’t want to get emails while I’m sleeping”. They wrote mega defensive and very boring code. Their code never has any bugs, but they took longer to write it.
Enjoyed working with person two, despised person one.
According to management, person two was not known and person one was a rockstar.
However it shows restaurants that paid to be featured at the top of the results.
So the search results will often contain restaurants that are multiple hours away.
I'm hoping to sell the game through Stripe on my own domain as well as on Steam. Time will tell whether I finish this game and whether the Web build defeats the Steam build.
I'm hoping Web wins.
I believe hooking up a debugger to your IDE is also possible. I haven’t tried it yet though: https://emscripten.org/docs/porting/Debugging.html?
Maybe I’ll give it a go and write about it in my next post.
Another big thing is it doesn’t support iOS at the moment.
It’s a lot of not that interesting code so I didn’t include it in the blog post.
It really makes Game Dev fun again. Also it has tons of bindings (you don’t have to code in C)
First thing he says to his “coachee” is along the lines of “if I said what you just said to me, how would you feel!”
How about you just say what you think, instead of making her guess what you’re saying
