Try the "Chromium Wheel Scroll Smoother" extension. It's a hack, but I've managed to make scrolling as fast as Firefox is, which I much prefer.
Only Steam provides such a runtime, but outside of Steam you're out of luck.
Very simply, the money lost because some people have left Windows for greener pastures is being offset by the increased revenue.
The difference is whether you see death as a set back and learning experience, or just a complete failure that frustrates you. It's a matter of mindset.
But in general the difficulty of Soulsborne games is overstated. They're mechanically simple, combat is fair (RNG isn't a big factor), with plenty of opportunities to make the game easier. Just level up more. Now with Elden Ring you can choose to go elsewhere, and come back later, stronger. This game isn't about easy victory, so easy mode has no place existing. A piece of media doesn't have to cater to all audiences.
At the time you would get tons of results from a myriad of small blogs, forums, niche websites. Nowadays it's Pinterest, blogspam and more SEO optimised algorithmic crap. If you're lucky you get a forum result that might actually be relevant.
Given the joke that if you can't Google it it doesn't exist, it follows that the Internet has considerably shrunk in the past two decades.
But on the GPU side NVIDIA and AMD have been battling it out for a while, competition is tight, and thinking Apple could come, compete and actually beat the fastest GPU currently available for consumers is a bit of a pipe dream, in hindsight. The GPU market hasn't been sitting on laurels for as long as Intel has been. That said, I am still positively surprised at how close they managed to reach the 3090, but alas, no cigar.
Who says immigrants with a different skin colour don't move to Europe because of the ideals? That is bollocks and borderline discriminates other cultures with the assumption that they do not care about becoming European. The incorrect assumption being that it's never been the people that convert to a culture, but instead the culture evolves over time to accommodate the change in demographics. Racial and cultural purity is an ideal that never really existed. It's easy to imagine the citizens of Rome complaining about the Celts and, yikes, the Barbarians ruining the pure Roman blood two thousand years ago.
The future of Europe, and the rest of the world, culturally and genetically, is a melting pot of people from all over the world. To me it is an absolute win, especially since history proved time and time again that the more people with different experiences and lives come together, the more society advances.
Disclaimer: I am definitely biased as a European-born mixed race citizen. The more you mix the cultures, the more arbitrary those borders and ideals seem.
Wiping out the native population is a very sad moment of US history that doesn't invalidate my point.
Fuck racial and cultural purity. Get on with the times.
> By renouncing my nationality I would also renounce Lomonosov, Dostoyevsky, etc.
No you wouldn't. Culture transcends flags and borders, but you're putting the nation ahead of it. You can still appreciate your Russian culture without having to buy wholesale the whole Russian (or any other) nationality. The Russian people have created beautiful things like everybody else on Earth has done. There is nothing unique about its uniqueness. You can appreciate it without having to drape yourself in the Russian tricolour, what you call "identity".
Patriotism and sense of nation is, among other things, what causes people to invade and prove themselves better than their neighbours. Patriotism is just thinking your tribe is better than the others. It's an idea worth eschewing if we want to make our planet a better place.
It's like the hellish version of xkcd's lucky 10,000. I guess it was your turn today.
While reality like you say it's much simpler. Science is not about absolute truth that requires blind faith, it is about proving a theory or disproving an established one, with a simple logic process established since the Middle Ages. What we know today is just a pile of theories ready to be disproven and replaced by something better like we did with blood letting, ether filling up outer space and geocentric astronomy.
It's incredibly sad the majority of the people hasn't learned this fact either in life or even in middle school.
