0xdeadb00f··on Backdooring Rust crates for fun and profit
Why on earth would you link to a reddit post instead of the actual article?

LOL so true
0xdeadb00f··on Google hands out Sci-Hub founder’s data to the FBI
That's fair enough actually.
0xdeadb00f··on Ingredient in Cough Syrup Could Work as an Antidepressant: Works Like Ketamine
I got the itch a few times - I hear OTC antihistamines can reduce this or make it cease completely, but I didn't think it was that annoying, it was easy to ignore for me. I got insane nausea one time and puked - but I still thought it was fun a time lol.

I think that hot feeling is part of the same itch reaction, so antihistamines might have helped. But yeah I can attest to feeling foggy days after.

I heard the same (that China made it illegal).
0xdeadb00f··on Google hands out Sci-Hub founder’s data to the FBI
With an account? I hears (Re)Vanced is a thing.. But it's a gamble whether its been broken by Google updating APIs at this point.

NewPipe is great for using YouTube without an account. I much prefer having my subs and playlists stored locally instead of by Google (restoring the exported backup file if I have to move devices).

Pirating is the way. Because nothing will ever change.

anti-american? As far as I see it responding to a government entity's request is pro-american.

Anti-Human, yes. But Google is the American dream

Is MXE accessible anymore (not-so-legally, I mean)?

Last I heard online everybody in the RC scene was super bummed that they couldn't get it anymore. And there were a lot of sellers around selling other chemicals as MXE.

0xdeadb00f··on Ingredient in Cough Syrup Could Work as an Antidepressant: Works Like Ketamine
I've taken it a number of times and had a great time every time. it's an incredibly unique experience. That being said I have access to a syrup that is pure DXM - no other BS that's dangerous in high doses.

I'm adamant people who have bad times really just haven't understood what they're messing with and/or haven't dosed it correctly. I've heard the same story from people during my highschool time in fact. To do DXM for quick, legal high is doing it 'wrong' IMO and people don't expect it to have the effect that it does.

You need to work up your doses to find the right one for you.

Dosage is based of body weight which you can calculate online - though, looking around it seems none of the websites I used to use to calculate my doses are still around, sadly.

I mentioned it in another comment, but "The DXM FAQ" is essential reading for anyone who wants to experience DXM.

DXM is not what I'd call a "safe" drug, it can be dangerous when abused so I'd recommend at least reading a lot about it before trying it out.

Edit: http://www.dexcalc.com/ - Calculates DXM dosage based on bodyweight + amount of DXM in your syrup

DXM is an incredibly interesting psychoactive substance because it's dosage ranges can change it's effects significantly; from "drowsy" to almost full psychedelic experience. These dosages ranges are called "Plataeus" and vary depending on your body weight.

For more info on this definitely check "The DXM FAQ" which you can find online. Incredibly interesting read and definitely essential for anyone who wants to dabble in DXM recreationally. However, definitely take note of the warnings written in it - DXM is not something you want to abuse frequently, or at all if you want to be totally safe.

0xdeadb00f··on Effects of fexofenadine, diphenhydramine, and alcohol on driving performance
Indeed that article is very bare-bones.

I was definitely surprised to find basically nothing about (ab)using dexchlorpheniramine recreationally after noticing the effects over dosing had.

0xdeadb00f··on Cool things people do with their blogs
One time as a highschool delinquent I realised a lot of the girls in my class would leave Instagram's location tagging thing on. Not sure if its still a feature - but you could literally see a map of where their posts were taken. I figured some of the "clumps" of posts on the map were significant locations like their house or their friends house, etc.

I never did anything with that information but it boggles my mind why people leave that on/turn it on themselves. Pereaps they didn't even know it was on, but I'm not sure.

0xdeadb00f··on Effects of fexofenadine, diphenhydramine, and alcohol on driving performance
One not mentioned on this page is dexchlorpheniramine. In my personal experience, exceeding the recommended dose and fighting the drowsiness effect leads to quite a pleasant high and mild aphrodisiac effect.

This happens all the time on a lot of platforms. Even Protonmail would sometimes flag my work MFA emails as spam.
0xdeadb00f··on Zara orders House of Zana to drop name over trademark row
Things like this always tend to give off a Streisand effect - I had never heard of House of Zana before this, and this article prompted me to look into it.

Solid idea. But as others have said a demo or some example screen caps would be nice.
0xdeadb00f··on I want off Mr. Golang’s Wild Ride (2020)
Thanks. The point of my comment was not to actually ask someone to explain it to me, but again, thank you for explaining it, I appreciate it.
0xdeadb00f··on I want off Mr. Golang’s Wild Ride (2020)
People keep telling me this is common nomenclature but I have never heard of it until today.
0xdeadb00f··on I want off Mr. Golang’s Wild Ride (2020)
Just because Go doesn't have a consistent API for file stuff, does not make it 'not simple' it makes it inconsistent. It is still simpler, and easier for me to understand ALL of the Go code on screen, than it was for me to understand just that rust function signature, and all the stuff in the paragraph I posted.
0xdeadb00f··on I want off Mr. Golang’s Wild Ride (2020)
To say go's simplicity is a lie, then to go and and say this;

> This function signatures tells us a lot already. It returns a Result, which means, not only do we know this can fail, we have to handle it. Either by panicking on error, with .unwrap() or .expect(), or by matching it against Result::Ok / Result::Err, or by bubbling it up with the ? operator.

What the hell? I'm not a rust dev. I have no idea what half of this means. "bubbling up"? What the fuck even is that?

0xdeadb00f··on I love Twitter. Twitter is the closest thing we have to a global consciousness
If Twitter is the closest thing to a global consciousness we are all doomed as a species.

How can someone even claim this? Twitter is a cesspool, I thought people on Twitter knew this. But apparently not.

That being said, it is @jack who is saying this. So I'd take it with a massive tablespoon of salt.

0xdeadb00f··on The Psychedelic Experience: A new concept in psychotherapy (1962) [pdf]
Usually after the visual effects of LSD have ceased you still can't fall asleep for a good 3-5hrs (or more, IME).

Benzodiazepines and similar drugs can stop acid trips almost completely in their tracks, allowing you to sleep. People also keep benzos on hand in case they have a bad trip - so they can stop the trip.

I would say, amphetaminnes can have you "wired" much more, but maybe for less time. But I don't think benzos can stop an amphetamine high as well as they stop LSD trips.
