zanethomas··on The Joy of Programming
Me too!

I began programming mid 70s (although I was 25, not 11) and I've been programming every since. I'm still picking up contract work.

zanethomas··on What’s the strangest thing you ever found in a book?
Bookworms. Really. Had a very old dictionary with bookworms!
zanethomas··on I still love PHP and JavaScript

zanethomas··on I still love PHP and JavaScript
I'd like PHP more were it not for the army of amateur programmers hacking wordpress.

It might be interesting to look at his history of campaign contributions.
zanethomas··on Germany to Rethink Nuclear Shutdown as Energy Crisis Deepens
I noticed lately that even NPR is mentioning nuclear. As in "renewable resources, solar, wind, hydro, and nuclear".

Guess they got the memo regarding the impracticality of going without either fossil or nuclear fuels.

zanethomas··on Byte Magazine: The Forth Language (1980)

zanethomas··on Best radios to use in an emergency (2021)
"sinophobia"

That translates to "fear of china" which is almost always incorrectly applied. Were there a single word for "boycotting china" that would be more appropriate.

zanethomas··on Governor Newsom announces California will make its own insulin
The fact that the federal government has used the income tax to centralize power, taking money from the citizens of the states and sending (some of) it back with strings attached, is a different issue.

Regardless, the cost of living is the cost of living.

zanethomas··on Governor Newsom announces California will make its own insulin
