This book was written by one of my favorite programmer bloggers. His blog javascriptissexy.com is sincerly a consistant reference for me. Don't knock it until you've read it.
zachshallbetter··on Blink: A rendering engine for the Chromium project
>WebKit is a giant open source project that is relied upon by many many different companies...Google takes their ball and goes home and only works on their own platforms.

Blink is open source, it's simply a fork of WebKit. That's why Opera is intending to use it instead of WebKit2. It's like Google wanted to take their ball to another court and still let everyone play.

zachshallbetter··on Poll: As a freelancer, how much do you bill per hour?
My rates and procedures are the same. Although, when clients expect me to rush design/build their work I bill 1.5 or double depending on the time frame.
zachshallbetter··on Smart CSS Coders use CSS Pre-Processors, so should you.
Extremely tough to read.

I love the answers to this question.

If you need to build a quick site and add functionality rapidly, WordPress and the proper plugins are an excellent solution. Alternatively, if your goal is to build a complex site that's geared toward a single purpose. It's probably not the right tool.

The decision should be based on the application not ego.

zachshallbetter··on Apple enters the console gaming business this October
Wow, talk about speculation. Yeesh
zachshallbetter··on Show HN: Codecademy.com, the easiest way to learn to code
Dunno, I didn't write it. I actually refreshed once because I thought there was an error. I then realized it was my fault after looking at the previous question.
zachshallbetter··on Show HN: Codecademy.com, the easiest way to learn to code
It was looking for var myFullName = "First Last";
zachshallbetter··on WordPress, Git-ified
I have a feeling that WordPress will begin to pull (even more) heavily skilled developers if they move to a structured SVN system like this.
