yasp··on Urbit OS 1
Nock doesn't have the notion of lambdas. The language xkapastel links does. Why doesn't Nock? No clue.
yasp··on Urbit OS 1
This is a reply to both you and OP, but I don't see what Urbit has to do with any government, its inventor's political opinions notwithstanding.

Structural unemployment due to ageism?

yasp··on The Global Dollar Short Squeeze
According to the article, it was published on February 26 (although archive.org didn't index it until just the other day). The Fed didn't announce new swap lines until three weeks later [0].

This is my first time learning of the Triffin Dilemma, so I'd be interested for you to comment on what about it is "obviously" incorrect. Wikipedia suggests this isn't a controversial notion.

yasp··on Russia deploying coronavirus disinformation to sow panic in West EU document say
> An EU database has recorded almost 80 cases of disinformation about coronavirus since Jan. 22, it said, noting Russian efforts to amplify Iranian accusations online, cited without evidence, that coronavirus was a U.S. biological weapon.

Why not mention that a spokesperson for China's foreign ministry is saying the same thing? [1]

yasp··on The Board reduced reserve requirement ratios to zero percent effective March 26
(In non-exceptional circumstances, this would be via the discount window, which happens rarely in practice, due to stigma.)
yasp··on Ask HN: What are the best things that could come out of a coronavirus recession?
To the extent companies demand bailouts of the US government, they should come in the form of the US government purchasing equity (diluting existing shareholders) and then gifting it to the citizenry.
yasp··on Fed to inject $1.5T to prevent ‘unusual disruptions’ in markets
Not an expert but I think the argument is that this is just swapping one asset (government securities) for another (central bank reserves). So, the working monetary base is not necessarily increasing.
yasp··on Oregon has first confirmed Covid-19 case
Do they? I didn't realize that.

yasp··on The Fed Has Bought 70% of Net Treasury Issuance Since October
Question for you, since you seem pretty knowledgeable. How does a HF lever up 10x+ using the repo market anyhow? Is this a typical leverage ratio for borrowing in the repo market? I'm guessing it's extremely rare for a UST to lose >10% of it's value overnight, which I guess would mean that this would be how they're doing it. What is the customary leverage ratio for repo borrowing and is there some repo-market specific name for this metric?
yasp··on The Fed Has Bought 70% of Net Treasury Issuance Since October
Ostensibly, GP means that they were not inflationary to consumer prices. Asset prices were definitely inflated. This is the whole point of QE.
