I believe one can launch an "app-store" like platform, WeChat has done it with its mini apps. But it will get tricky with Apple when you start earning money from your app developers.
PWA web app needs a store to be the distributor for small web apps, making it easier for small developers to monetize more than just ads. Where is Mozilla, MS, Google, Amazon?
Wondering if America government has the power to forbid foreign companies or countries from using open source software such as Go, Rust, React, Kubernetes, Docker, Ubuntu etc especially those with strong stewardship by US corporations.
Mobile number login is common for apps from China as large number of Internet user there only have a mobile phone, no desktop and no email. Its the only way to verify account.
Check out Svelte/Sapper which is server side JS framework but can generate static site. Svelte is SPA framework like Angular, React, VueJS. Sapper is like NextJs/NuxtJS, with server side rendering features for Svelte.
The article mentioned adopting Swift for core algo would tie you into Apple eco, as Swift is not "cross-platform". Swift however is open source and cross platform, just not well supported in other platform. Wondering if adopting Flutter and Dart will end you up in the same boat? Well Flutter is cross platform, but that cross platform support is dependent on how Google wants to support it. You cant just port it into let say a new watch platform or Raspberry Pi or Huawei's HongMengOS. Maybe the best route, as in the article, is to use a really cross platform languages C, C++, Rust for product core, and then layer it with the native UI code. Anyone has any idea if this is how Adobe develop their products?
Is there any sample app / quick start template of a full stack CRUD app (notes, todos etc) with user registration, signin? Not too clear on authn/authz seems to need to go down to Postgres level for such controls.
The survey results this year is misguided as it now mixes AngularJS with Angular. Was surprised they made such remarks in the conclusion knowing this change. Most AngularJS users will not use it again for sure.
