xufi··on South Korean President Impeached
What happeend to her freind and the other Samsung CEO who was arrested ?
xufi··on Fidel Castro has died
I wonder if Raul (since he seems a bit more relaxed) will hold general elections or stay in power till he too passes (which doesn't seem that far since he's only 4 years younger than his brother )
xufi··on Show HN: A visual guide to the most popular CSS properties
Interesting app. Something I'll definitely use in the future for referencing
xufi··on Building a CustoMac: Buyer's Guide October 2016
Can't disagree with that. The way it functions and the plethora of apps you get with it are good enough for me
xufi··on MacBook Pro

xufi··on Twitter shares drop as Salesforce reported to be out of the bidding process
Interesting I was surprised this happen so quick. I figured a few other companies were interested in Twitter (Google/Spotify/Pinterest) but lets see what happens
xufi··on The Man Blocking Peace in Colombia
Was there not an annoucement of new negotations that were announced in Havana again after this vote went through? What happened to that?
xufi··on Why We Should All Dump Yahoo
Agreed it was the only place where I could find nice pictures of nature especially and the free 1TB storage they gave me. Oh well I guess life goes on
xufi··on 'Mr. Robot' may be fiction, but its hacking plots are all too real
I agree 100 percent. The second I heard (and the fact that I watched the last documentary like episode of the show of Season 1 that talked with the cybersecurity experts). That made me love it even more
xufi··on macOS 10.12 Sierra: The Ars Technica review
Same here, Granted (I just moved to it really 3 years ago) I really wish they also paused OS release/delay them a bit longer. By looking back on older versions, I wish we had another Snow Leopard like version since some of the latest releases seem to be not completely polished but I welcome the new features as well
xufi··on Why Finnish babies sleep in cardboard boxes (2013)
Same here, I actually read/watched a documentary about sleep that pointed they do this a lot in Scandinavian countries (such as this article). Hopefully the uS can find a solution like it
xufi··on Distant languages have similar sounds for common words
IT's interesting how they all use the same vowels for the names they use to call mother/father. IS there a reason they use vowels vs say consonants?
xufi··on Why Are Haiti's Coffee Trees So Tall?
This reminds me of Colombia albeit the situation is better due to the peace agreement they reached with the rebel group/they are a hilly country but they are also plagued by massive corruption yet one of their biggest exporter is coffee. Interesting to compare the 2 places
xufi··on iTunes will never work well
Using VLC with command line to listen to my playlists works great for me
xufi··on We Don’t Simply Get Remote Jobs, We Join Remote Teams
Actually, This is a smart approach. A friend of mien made his own team and he's doing quite well v.s the old way where he was paired with people he did not get along with
xufi··on What Albania can teach us about trust
If I'm not mistaken, Isn't this a trend from other European countries too like Romania and Serbia/Belarus?
xufi··on Cesium – An open-source JavaScript library for 3D globes and maps
This would be cool for a tiny world globe project I have with longitude and latitude . I wonder how I could make use of this
xufi··on Principles for Programming Languages for Learners
Totally hit the nail on the head. I started programming when I was about 15 or so, but I left it for a few years. Im pretty much at the spot you're in right now and I'm just more fascinated with the subject than ever before even though I've been into computers since I was a little kid. Also again totally agree with you about the "money grab", even a friend of mine who does this for a living and is quite ab it older than me says he doesn't care about work off time because when he's out of the office for the day, he's done.
xufi··on Hunter S. Thompson on Finding Your Purpose (1958)
Agreed, I find myself the same way. I end up keep asking myself. Is this really what I want in life? or perhaps there's another avenue or path that I could take that would fare better for me in the long term
xufi··on SSH with Facebook Auth
and still have them ask for your phone number! . I'd also love if you could log in to Messages with a key pair
xufi··on The Linux kernel hidden inside Windows 10
Agreed. and so for Windows I've had to deal with the pain of Cyngin and Putty and its bretheren which adds to the list of me trying crazy stuff when certain commands wont work. Then I remember "doh its Windows"
xufi··on Why swearing is good for you
This article reminds me of http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20151109-english-speakers-o... Its funny how colloquiasm also applies to swearing in one languages v.s another
xufi··on Why Marissa Mayer's 130-Hour Work Week Idea Is Completely, Totally Wrong
Agreed. I haven't read too much of the work policies and changes she enacted but the only thing i remember really making her tenure significant was shutting down work from home jobs.
xufi··on Apple announces bug bounty program
bugs bugs everywhere
xufi··on Yahoo probes possible huge data breach
A last minute security fix. Funny that Myspace got hacked too apparently
xufi··on Microsoft to Cut 2,850 More Jobs in Exit from Phone Business
I actually thought that was a cool idea when it came out but I always did wonder what the purpose was if I wanted to do more. I was pretty focused on getting a Blackberry (shudders) at the time
xufi··on Xiaomi’s first laptop is a Macbook Air rival
Exactly, this moment reminds me of the same time they did that with the first "Miphone" as they branded it. If I remember correctly, Didn't Apple try to sue them for that?
xufi··on Is full-time work bad for our brains?
Agreed especially the same with university on par in the last years. That really catches up to you
xufi··on Squirrel Programming Language
I wonder if parts of it were used in TF2 updates since that hasn't gotten an update in a while
xufi··on Pokemon Go is a huge security risk
Same here. I guess "gotta catch 'em" all means something else in this instance
