Plots.jl can work. You may also want to try https://makie.org/ and https://github.com/TidierOrg/TidierPlots.jl

xgdgsc··on The Snapdragon X Elite aims to make your Windows PC better than a Mac
https://is-windows-on-arm-ready.vercel.app/ has a list. As the chip performance is great, running x86 apps could have adequate performance for many people. I' m using a 8cx gen3 2in1 laptop as a vscode remote client. It can run Android apps and linux subsystem and Windows apps altogether. Even the CPU is worse than Snapdragon X by a lot, it can connect 3 displays altogether (2K+2K+4K) and have greate battery life. The only things drawing windows on arm experince back is Modern Standby that makes work session recovery from suspend not as stable as my M2 Max macbook pro. And x86 drivers not supported by the transpiling layer.
xgdgsc··on Cthulhu.jl – show type-inferred Julia code
Yes this version should work.
xgdgsc··on Cthulhu.jl – show type-inferred Julia code
Just update to latest julia extension and use Cthulhu inside the extension started REPL.
xgdgsc··on Cthulhu.jl – show type-inferred Julia code
Latest release adds integrate with VSCode that shows inferred types inline.
xgdgsc··on Remove TypeScript
Just tried the latest Cthulhu.jl and vscode integration. Dynamic by default and can infer and show types might be perfect.
xgdgsc··on Anyone Moving from Julia to Mojo
Have you tried 1.10 for the memory part: https://discourse.julialang.org/t/the-improvement-of-memory-... ? For stability you might better switch to cpp.
xgdgsc··on TermiC: Terminal C, Interactive C/C++ REPL shell created with bash
Developing the module functions with Revise.jl inside vscode and do REPL like things inside jupyterlab makes a pretty good workflow for me. And everytime I try some cpp REPL I end up using more Julia instead.
xgdgsc··on A world to win: WebAssembly for the rest of us
I' ve seen quite a few posts like https://users.rust-lang.org/t/a-performance-problem-compared... , https://discourse.julialang.org/t/why-is-julia-faster-than-c... ... And many are from average programmers writing Cpp/Rust vs Julia, this is really good news for scientists/engineerers who need quick experiments.

xgdgsc··on It's 2023, so of course I'm learning Common Lisp
It' s 2023. It' s time to switch [From Common Lisp to Julia](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=32745318)

xgdgsc··on Case study: Algorithmic trading with Go
I've used Go for this before and still use Go for log monitoring. Other parts I've moved to julia/cpp/python mixed workflow.
xgdgsc··on Why Do ML on the Erlang VM?
"It is ridiculous how easily I can swing together a Phoenix web app and add some ML smarts to it. "

I'd rather optimize the current julia web app stack a bit and use with existing julia ML libraries.

xgdgsc··on Building a Lox Interpreter in Julia
https://github.com/tshort/StaticCompiler.jl/issues/59 Would working on this feasible?
xgdgsc··on Language models cost much more in some languages than others
I used to set my OS and apps to English for easy search of function or bugs. But with the trend of design that emphasizes "flat" look, which often includes removing menu icons and keep only English text. I started switching back app languages to Chinese, where every menu text itself is already an "icon" that 's way easier to find on glimpse.
xgdgsc··on Pandas vs. Julia – cheat sheet and comparison
It' s not my website.
xgdgsc··on Pandas vs. Julia – cheat sheet and comparison
But there's CSV.jl so I didn't change title. I don't see any low resolution, maybe a font choice issue? I'd say the conclusion is the right thing to say for such a short comparison.
xgdgsc··on Julia 1.9.0 lives up to its promise
You can see some previous discussion on this at https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35477695 . I feel 1.9 would make it much more realistic. For CLI you can use https://comonicon.org/stable/ .
xgdgsc··on Mojo might be the biggest thing to happen in programming for decades
You can use my fork of vscode julia extension for this https://github.com/xgdgsc/julia-vscode/releases/tag/v1.41.1_...
xgdgsc··on Restore Firefox default theme from version 57 to 88
quote from comments: "Mozilla must hire the author - finally a sane mind that wants their currently active tab to be clearly visible and not a grey blended button on grey background amidst inactive grey tabs."
xgdgsc··on Making Python faster with Rust
Rust is verbose. I would use https://github.com/Suzhou-Tongyuan/jnumpy to write python extension in Julia and usually get similar performance.
xgdgsc··on Making Python faster with Rust
Julia 1.9 is fast. And you can use https://github.com/Suzhou-Tongyuan/jnumpy to write python extension in Julia now. So I think after 1.9 release julia would be much more usable.

xgdgsc··on It’s not just what you eat, but the time of day you eat it
I recorded my meal sizes and weight and various other features for a year and did some machine learning using gbdt and shap values. One result out of my expectation was that big breakfasts tends to help weight loss. After that I seached and found the book "the big breakfast diet". I find it in line with my data and followed this diet afterwards.
xgdgsc··on Computer work lying down comfortably with a home-made stand over the bed
This doesn' t look very easy on arms to me. My current favorite position is use a 30cm small bench and a low desk(less than 1m) with back lean or not lean on sofa cushion. So you can switch squatting and sitting very quickly by moving the small bench. It' s less likely to feel tired with more muscle in stress occasionally. And when you stand up there' s slightly more work done than normal sitting.
xgdgsc··on My lizard brain is no match for infinite scroll
My solution is using a e-ink phone for those apps. So you cannot "scroll" smoothly. But you use the paging button. The visual stimulus is much lower.
xgdgsc··on Show HN: Newser, utility written in go to generate a pdf with news content
I use Weave.jl to generate daily news html for my self and close friends by a config file with an array of http apis providing data in csv, figure in base64 or markdown text, easy setup with caddy file-server. When I find a datasource like yours, I add it to the config and my daily news gets longer.
