I think the chances of them seeing out their stadium sponsorship are near 0%
I don't see how he thinks tweet content alone will be enough to verify the 5% of monthly monetizable users
The other poor indicator was his tweet about sampling _100_ of his own replies to detect bots. That's a horribly small sample and horrible selection bias
The firehose is terabytes a day, add storage + indexes and it's pretty far from "fitting on an USB stick" in order to analyze.
CH4 is the larger concern with natural gas
This paper explains it:
Further - many of the privacy enhancements in Firefox, such as fingerprint protection, were adopted from the work on Tor Browser
There are so many bad companies that are public today, they really need somebody nipping at their heels.
I think brand awareness of Backblaze is insular - I remember Carbonite had the strategy of advertising on right-wing radio in the 00's which seems to have worked for them.
Finney didn't mix British and American English the way Satoshi did in his writing.
Finney was also an experienced and much better developer[0] than Satoshi[1]

Have bought since the IPO and am super bullish. It seems most Wall St analysts really don't understand the company or business.
This is pure supply shock
I wouldn't be poking any bears had I been running that setup.
Not following up on that investment is a pretty strong signal
We want to ship the users a USB stick which they'll then plugin during setup and it'll save a (password protected) private key to it for long-term backup along with some metadata
So the goal would be that we can read the stick if plugged in again after a year, or two or three even after it has rattled around the bottom of a drawer or cabinet somewhere
I've found that it doesn't require much in terms of minimum unit order numbers to get a custom build - but I'd like to have a source of reliability data that is independent.
I'm contemplating doing a test lab ourselves - buying a bunch of keys and putting them through their paces, as there seems to be a real gap in comprehensive testing+benchmarks here
Only because it's early. The first grid-scale battery only went online 3 years ago.
In that example (South Australia) you only have to look at this chart[0] to see what it done to grid renewable demand and where the trend is heading.
There are multiple GW more of additional battery coming online over the next few years

Note that Hornsdale is also tiny compared to batteries currently being developed in Australia. The new battery in the Hunter will be 1200MW - which is enough to nullify the need for all gas-generated peaking capacity in that state
> Wylam, [..] and also tipped Naveen Sood
> Sood allegedly traded on this information and tipped his three friends Marcus Bannon, Matthew Rauch, and Naresh Ramaiya
It's less a ring and more a tree
One of the issues with leaking the info - you have no control over what is done with it and who acts on it, and it all potentially leads back to you
There was a case in Australia where a gov insider was leaking government data. He thought he had a partnership with a co-conspirator where they would make low-tens-of-thousands
He only found out after his arrest that his co-conspirator who was placing the trades was making millions - which is what got them noticed (he was one of the largest individual currency traders in the country - and never missed)
