In my limited experience, the 'pairness' part of pair programming , is best done in silence. The discussion / planning happens up front, the keyboard person does the implementation and the second person doesn't 'backseat drive', but thinks about test cases (writes it down), thinks about weaknesses (writes it down) and writes documentation while the code is written.

All of these are reviewed before commit.

The 'interrupting' while coding is the shitty part (I agree with you), not having someone working with you.

I never said they were collectively guilty. that was on you. You assigned them all as guilty.

> and it's a complete nonsense to blame and persecute the whole ethnic group

Cultures exist in ethnic groups, I don't know what to say. If you don't believe this, you're being intentionally obstuse.

> In general, in the year 2026 we should know better than to assign collective guilt.

Again, that was you.

> If you really want to understand an issue in depth.

I only get to see what I'm presented. I don't even know how to identify what they look like. They do appear to look like every day people in the youtube videos. They usually speak the language, but people point them out as being a problem.

That is not a "me" problem, that is a PR problem. Now that I think about it, i don't think I've ever seen a positive video about gypsies on the net.

> What do you mean?

No analysis is being done in the linux kernel to assess vulnerability.

> It isn't a DoS to assign every single bug fix a CVE!

On people who care about this, it is, not in the project itself though.

> Every single bug is making someone vulnerable in some way.

Not every bug is making someone vulnerable. (docs bugs, test bugs) behavioral changes, performance improvements, the list goes on.

I haven't experienced gypsies first hand, but from the youtube perception that I see, they definitely DO prey on tourists at land marks.

Unless there is a youtube/social media conspiracy, i think the analogy stands.

worthless-trash··on I'd not buy a LG monitor
This comes down to shitty vendors.

LG monitors are not behaving idiotically on Linux. Just saying.

You're looking at the problem from the 5,000 foot view.

Prey is whatever is at risk of being consumed. I have made no attempt at classifying wolves behavior in my comment.

Edit: I do take the prey/predator relationship very seriously, I wrote about what I do here https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46462101

Isn't prey by definition in danger.

If you honestly believe what you're saying you're going to have a REALLY BAD TIME in the wild.

I have found that if you harsh blacklist from most countries you'll never communicate from you'll save a lot of spam.

I blacklisted pretty much all of africa and arabic nations and china on the IP level, ( ensure you get the bgp routed datacenters in those nations too) and not only did i get less spam, but less automated bot attacks on my webserver.

The reason people talk about the blacklist is because its just so damn effective.

Why not, this kind of management seems ideal, A/B safe testing for boot.

Lots of containers to go around these days, people are familiar with them and how they work, seems like an obvious sane choice.

In my professional life, I've been told that documents I wrote in 2016 sound like they were written by AI. I put significant work into getting my message across clearly and then to have it dismissed was rough.

I no longer put a lot of effort into ensuring documents feel right when writing them.

worthless-trash··on Australian energy retailers must offer three hours of free daytime electricity
I assure you first hand, you can turn on the heater (during winter) or airconditioner without battery and take advantage of this.

You can wash your clothes during this time to take advantage on this.

You can cook on the electric stove during this time to take advantage of this.

No battery is required to do this. I can't connect your logic to my reality.
