My ISP (my area is serviced by 1 more but they offer lower speeds) blocks the DoT port. They cannot block 443. If they start blocking popular DoH domains, I can use any of the mirrors or run my own over https://wongogue.in/catpics/

The investigation couldn’t anything against the autogratic guy who said the following about the incident.

- When asked if there is anything he regrets not doing during the riots to save lives? He answered: He could have managed the media better. The interviewer gave him a moment to say the right thing. He didn’t change his statement.

Dwm is both the compositor and window manager in Windows. It’s the same with WindowServer in macOS.

If you are talking about the shell or task switcher, then yeah your point stand with Gnome but KDE has kwin and plasmashell processes.

wongogue··on Meta replaces WhatsApp for Windows with web wrapper
Meta and KDE are not comparable. Not even in the same galaxy.

This comment is just an excuse to do a hitjob on KDE donations. KDE is FOSS and doesn’t use your data to make money.

wongogue··on President Reagan's Radio Address to the Nation on Tarrifs, 1987
Some of my relatives and friends had reservations about women being too emotional to be put in the highest office of the country (or defacto leader of the west world). Trump proves that men in power are as emotional as women if not more.

To clarify: Not that it is any better — The recommended section which serves OneDrive files is a ReactNative component.

Even if it’s delta, it cannot patch itself when running on Windows. So it runs the updater, creates a new exec and switches to it after relaunch. Same as Chrome or Firefox.

It’s a TextEdit vs Pages thing. Try Ghostty, Kitty or iTerm2.
wongogue··on Niri – A scrollable-tiling Wayland compositor
The audience of stacking wms is mainly serviced by the desktop environements. Both Gnome and Plasma are bigger than everything else combined.

wongogue··on Niri – A scrollable-tiling Wayland compositor
It has overview. You can see all windows and workspaces in a scaled out view of your preference.
wongogue··on Niri – A scrollable-tiling Wayland compositor
Maximizing and Fullscreening are different modes in all operating systems.

I use Niri and it has 3:

1. Use all width (windows are full height by default) and display system bar

2. Use the entire screen and hide the system bar

3. Same as 1 but make the app believe that it’s in Mode 2

wongogue··on From M1 MacBook to Arch Linux: A month-long experiment that became permanenent
If you want to have tiling but don’t like windows being automatically resized or having to do any resize at all, try niri. It’s a scrolling tiling window manager based on PaperWM. It is in the Arch repository and a KDE plugin called Karousel also exists on the same PaperWM paradigm.
