Josh Poertner from Silca is also good but has things to sell.
Of course what everyone is saying above is right -- fitness and rider weight matters the most. But it is fun to look at this stuff especially once you have achieved some level of fitness.
I heard about his death elsewhere this morning and was surprised I didn't see it before. They have a ton of obits for less consequential people.
And because the overall experience was so cool -- board directly from the lounge, the led display showing how fast you were going, seeing the curvature of the earth (sorry flat earthers), arriving before you left, etc. -- you never thought about the seat. I'm sure if you took it all the time you might care but most people it was awesome.

There are a couple links to other articles and book on the subject in there too.

In the original AVC post he hints about this by talking about doing the right thing and accelerating the vesting in these scenarios, but that could obviously mean a lot of things in terms of actual amounts depending on the situation.
- 37signals has 40 servers, and a total of 125 OSes running.
- 3 Server admins work at 37signals.
That is insteresting. Most orgs would consider that a pretty low ratio of servers/admin.It is an interesting thought experiment to think about what would happen if the iPhone OS did start to head up in market share (e.g. if Apple actually released iPhone minis or something of the sort). As they approached dominance, there would be a whole number of things that they all of a sudden couldn't do. Blocking Palm from iTunes, exclusive App Store, this restriction, etc. Strategically if they started to head towards large market share it might even make sense to slow it down to preserve their freedom to operate.
