GDDR has higher latency and much lower capacity. HBM requires an interposer and also has lower capacity. It's not an easy choice. The M7 family will probably double memory bandwidth using LPDDR6.
There are recent "client isolation" features that prevent P2P communication. Some hosting providers also block customers on the same LAN from attacking each other.
A lot of "rights" were created with the assumption that they would be used sparingly and would never have been enacted if everyone was going to use them. You just don't have a working civilization if everyone is collecting disability, renters don't pay rent, and nothing can be built.
In theory it's fine to have multiple DHCP servers as long as they don't step on each other. But in reality a bunch of the things mentioned in this post are ways for the network to be hosed. Unfortunately, enough LANs are semi-hosed that it's worth working around known problems.
The headline is a little confusing. There are no limits on local gaming which is how most people use Game Pass. They're also throwing in a few free hours of cloud gaming with Game Pass.
Cultural understanding without regulation is just serfdom. That's basically what we have now where most people aren't willing to fight Apple/Google/Meta/MS.
