winddude··on Clef: Open-source decision models, and new RL fine-tuning platform
Now we just need some new NER models.
winddude··on Jeeves. Reasoning improves Jev-like decision models
That completely defeats the point of something to make decisions faster.
winddude··on Show HN: Destroy Any Website with Stickman
boo chatgpt.com responds with a 403
winddude··on Nvidia wants to put a watchdog chip next to every AI agent
don't worry, the LLMs are also trained on youtube, so we can hope for at least this much effort, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuiK7jcC1fY
winddude··on LLM Ass Bench
haha, doing the important work!
winddude··on Anthropic researcher says more than 10% chance AI "could kill all humans"
He seems young, not 100% sure how experienced he is. I wonder how much is a l"look at me" as they leave. And I can't help but wonder how long until they start / co-found a "responsible" AI lab. That seems to be a playbook.
winddude··on Anthropic researcher says more than 10% chance AI "could kill all humans"
more likely an incompetent administration puts it in charge of military infrastructure and capabilities it shouldn't
winddude··on You can't solve computer use by ignoring the interface
> - either evolve our UI systems for computers and let them operate efficiently, i.e. converting everything to API calls . Frontier labs are pushing for this, starting with the Chrome plugin that Claude Cowork mandates.

Yea, hasn't worked so far, devs and orgs have been pushing for APIs ages, same with structured data, eg schema.org

The third option is agent to agent communication, mcp, etc.

winddude··on GitHub is the wrong shape for this new world
> These aren't features of a developer tool. They're infrastructure primitives. Just as we stopped thinking about provisioning individual servers and started thinking about compute, storage, and networking as composable building blocks, software delivery needs the same shift.

They already are. you don't have to use github, or all it's features, git is the protocol, CI/CD are the added on composable blocks. Most platforms offer crypo signature verification, there's also opensource options.

Basicaly wtf are you on about? that's 5mins I'm not getting back.

winddude··on Document-borne AI worms can self-propagate through Copilot for Word
id say markdown for LLMs
winddude··on Re: I'm Begging You to Leave Your AI Note-Taker at Home
did you use AI for your site because it ain't loading... so based on the title... I have no problem with people using them to help their memory, and if they kept it local, but I have a problem with monopolistic and exploitative companies with private data, that likely ends up in a govt db.
winddude··on Anthropic says Alibaba illicitly extracted Claude AI model capabilities
ooohhh nooo... anyway...
winddude··on Show HN: TownSquare, a tiny presence layer for websites
interesting. i'm appearing as a grey guy not the orange guy like your blog says
winddude··on A backdoor in a LinkedIn job offer
> Friends don't let friends ise NPM

or linkedin

winddude··on Show HN: Performative-UI – A react component library of design tropes
needs something for showing and copying simple terminal commands.
winddude··on Don't Subscribe So Casually
Kinda' ironic posting a service that promotes two types of casual subscriptions, inbox clutter, and "micro transactions"
winddude··on Norway's 2 petabytes of Huawei flash storage and LLM training
if you read the article 2pb is available as flash storage in the data pipeline, used to dedupe, clean, normalize, etc, for training from 60pb of raw data.
winddude··on Google's AI is being manipulated. The search giant is quietly fighting back
unable, nah, more profitable for the ads business. Yea.
winddude··on AI Product Graveyard
The fact that some of the domains lapsed is wild, bit.ai has got to worth a bit. But I also checked a handful of the lapsed domains, they aren't lapsed, eg airfront.ai is still active
winddude··on White House Considers Vetting A.I. Models Before They Are Released
"The National Security Agency has also recently used Anthropic’s Mythos model to assess vulnerabilities in the U.S. government’s software, people with knowledge of the work said."

I'm sure that's not the only thing they've used it for. Definitely looking for any exploit they can use to enhance data gathering, and cracking into IOS, private networks, etc. Gotta keep an eye on citizens, but hey, it's the only government body that really listens you.

at this point it almost seems like citizens should review AI models before the government can access them.

winddude··on GitHub Is Down
re there polymarket bets on if gitub will be up or down today yet?
winddude··on Ask HN: Who is hiring? (May 2026)
That's absolutely awesome!
winddude··on Your Website Is Not for You
No one reads my tech blog, it absolutely is for me.
winddude··on DataCenter.FM – background noise app featuring the sound of the AI bubble
some of those fans need to be replaced, sounds like a lot of bearings going
winddude··on HERMES.md in commit messages causes requests to route to extra usage billing
there was a time when tech companies gave bug bounties. Now it's fuck you, we vibe coded this slop, and we love it. Oh we emailed your company, ran massive marketing campaigns in the media to pitch replacing you.
winddude··on He asked AI to count carbs 27000 times. It couldn't give the same answer twice
as a t-1 diabetic, this is exactly what we do for nearly every meal we eat, especially in restaurants, look at it and try to estimate the number of carbs.
winddude··on Less human AI agents, please
> This has very little to do with someone making the LLM too human but rather a core limitation of the transformer architecture itself.

It has almost everything to do with it. Models have been fine-tuned to generate outputs that humans prefer.

winddude··on Less human AI agents, please
I've never hit that one, do you have a lot of `ToDo`s in your code comments?
winddude··on GitHub's Fake Star Economy
"median star count at seed is 2,850" lower than I would have expected, but than again, I've maybe only had 20+ stars on my repos

- I think the zero follower account might be the weakest signal of a low quality account, I think I had zero followers for maybe 5+ years.

winddude··on Someone bought 30 WordPress plugins and planted a backdoor in all of them
are they? or are they running, spam, ecommerce throw away culture? overreaching government data collection? lots of porn as well.
