This is simply not true at all these days, and I don't like that HN users would push a normal conversation into one where you imply your "opponent" is racist, sexist, or a religious bigot. Might as well have called me a Nazi or brought Hitler into the conversation.
And I don't believe you need Psychologists or a peer reviewed study to discern mobile platform usage, we have other ways to getting said metrics.
Not saying psychology as a field is pointless, or anything, just that they do occasionally do some silly studies.

I'm skeptical of the brand in particular, not in the sense that it's bio-available, but their claim that only their brand crosses the blood-brain barrier[1][2].
[0] a lot of sites mention this in passing, but here's a study that shows 7 days of supplementation crosses the blood-brain barrier, at least in mice: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2781139/

I was probably getting close to alcoholism myself and felt touchy around people that didn't drink (well, only the ones that announced it every chance they got, but then it feels like a judgement not a statement). I drank every day basically (and not ONE beer either), but when I went to moderate myself it wasn't too difficult; now I drink less than a handful of times a month.
I agree with your other points, but I'd say that getting a CPAP is probably a good idea, but that losing weight could make that unnecessary down the road and there are a myriad of other benefits.

That said, I get it, I avoid skiing with the same fervor; too much risk of bodily harm for little reward, also things like tree wells and avalanches? No thanks. People look at me as weird as you probably feel we are looking at you. (it's also expensive, so there's that excuse)

Even if you don't travel around going to the state and national parks, there's a ton of regional parks with trails, trails all over for biking and walking and a lot of nature all around.
I mean... it rains here all the time, and, and, earthquakes and volcanoes, it's probably a bad idea to move here. ;)

It's a good read no matter, though.
I've obviously not tried this with "hundreds" of whiteboards, but the one we have on the fridge at home works as well as the several size and types we have at work.

For instance, if you put in the values 69 inches tall, 7 inch wrists, 9 inch ankles and 15% BF (not super lean but not overweight), you get a maximum lean bodyweight (natural) of 210lbs (years and years of bodybuilding), but at 70 inches, with the same measurements, it shows 215lbs being the maximum lean weight.
Edit: Just to clarify, I'm certain that it's more of a percentage than a number and that it happens to be 5 lbs at around my height - a 4'll" woman might only differ 2-3 lbs at a similar build from a 5'0" woman.
I worked a physical job, stocking books and filling book orders for a summer while in college[1]. I used a pedometer and rarely went much above 10k steps (for the 8 hour shift anyway). That's walking basically for 8 hours straight (with stops to place or grab a book).
[1] - not my only physical job, but the one I walked the most, and the only one I ever had a pedometer on.
I also didn't realize this site was already out there, but if it was dating/sex related by that time, I wouldn't have known it could be used for that.
FWIW, there's another site I think similary created for meeting people nearby as friends (Meetme.com) that has also turned into a sex/hookup app.
