And I hear you about over-engineering. I feel like a Linux user--spending more time getting my laptop just right instead of using it. I have to remind myself that the point of it is the result, not the process.
Like, I didn't see a single mention of why they chose 8GB while recommending 16GB. It's like a straw man argument: why not at least explore possible causes?
I mean, the author's conclusion is correct. But I disagree with the rationale. It's like hating an evil dictatorship because they use the wrong font in their propaganda.
That said, I shouldn't be blinded by convenience. I hear jellyfin is a good alternative. Can someone share
- how easy is it to administer for clients outside of my network or possibly even outside my country?
- how good is the app support? I transcode all of my media to AAC and h264 for compatibility
-what about for streaming music? I really like Plex amp
- what do you like the most about jellyfin
- what do you miss most about Plex?
Thank you.

... advertising dollars? Wouldn't every company want that? I'm guessing Perplexity wants to make an AI browser, but wanting advertisement money hardly makes a company's offer stand out.
- when I tap on a factor, I can edit the slider, but it doesn't do anything.
- when I tap another factor, the previous editor stays in place.
- how do I choose my factor?
- where do I actually do the multiplication?
- where do I check my answer?
- why do the factors have "grab icons" (the six dots)? Why would I drag one?
Etc.
