We don’t really tax real estate. That’s why all the old farts pay $1000/year in property taxes on a home that’s worth millions. Do you propose taxing them on the actual value of their homes?
Raising the income tax rates aren’t going to help though. The ultra wealthy you want to tax have (basically) no income to tax. Are you proposing to institute a wealth tax?
Okay. So all that opposition turnout disappeared in 2024? Where did they go? Were they so disappointed with the alternative that they just decided to just stay home (effectively a vote for Trump)?
Um, it implies that if you’re “doing business” in California, you are required to register there? “Doing business” has a specific definition, any single member LLC where that member lives in California qualifies.
It sounds like he probably forgot about them until his trader friends brought up nvidia. Otherwise why would he go digging through his documents upon being reminded?
If you live in California, you likely have to register in California. So you really only have one option, unless you want to register in two places. You’ll also have to pay at least $800/year for the pleasure.
Yes, sure, it’s to be social. But if someone asks a stupid trivia question, then just give them the answer. You’re not starting a discussion with a stupid trivia question. You are truly weird.
>It's like when you're in the pub and and someone asks "who was that guy who was in the movie where…?" you can either chat with your friends and have a good time or be a buzzkill who opens up IMDB and says "Humphrey Bogart".
I don’t really understand this. Someone wants an answer not a chat about how you don’t know?
Not being able to focus for 4 hours seems like a bigger problem. But it’s also entirely orthogonal to your distinction of “teaching the test” vs “actually educating”. You can’t teach people to focus for 4 hours.
I’ll be honest, I can’t really quantify it. But the immediate stink is the nonsensical documentation and code comments it spits out. They’re completely unintelligible. I think when I see those I’m predisposed to think everything else going to be equally low quality. I usually just bounce, but when I don’t I just have a really hard time understanding wtf is going on with the code.
You can almost immediately smell the stink of Claude on a codebase. Maybe there’s nothing “wrong” with the code (it must work, right?) but it’s somehow incredibly off putting.
It seems like everyone is missing the “pay as you go” aspect. I don’t want to pay $15/month. I want plop down $X and pay per minute/sms until it runs out.
