The hero we need.
vivab0rg··on Before sale to IBM for billions, Red Hat started in cofounder's closet
Most likely true. But back in the late 90s, the Red Hat installer was alone a killer feature when compared to other distros, specially for those trying GNU/Linux for the first time.

This is a very well-deserved recognition for someone who has poured countless hours of his life to educate the world about Bitcoin and the ongoing crypto-currency revolution. I bought his Mastering Bitcoin book when it was still in Beta, and it surely changed my life for good. Thanks Andreas!

vivab0rg··on $5 Showdown: Linode vs. DigitalOcean vs. Amazon Lightsail vs. Vultr
> I like Vultr because they accept Bitcoin payments.

This. I've been a loyal Linode user for years but recently gone with Vultr for side projects because they accept Bitcoin and had a $5 plan long before.

vivab0rg··on Elementary OS Freya Released
Just donated 0.04201 BTC (USD 10) and downloading Freya now. I've been using the previous version for fun and profit on a Mac mini, netbook, notebook and desktop PC since last year. Very recommended.
vivab0rg··on Ask HN: Which book are you reading these days?
The Guns of August: The Outbreak of World War I[1], the Pulitzer-award winner by Barbara Tuchman, and the book that might have helped avoid WW3 during the Cuban missile crisis, as recognized by JFK himself.

vivab0rg··on UI Performance Decline – OS X Tiger to Yosemite [video]
So much this. I've settled on elementaryOS 0.2 (based off Ubuntu 12.04 LTS) for all my development, staging, and production environments, being netbook, notebook, All-in-One desktop, Mac mini and all my VPS servers. Software package consistency is a invaluable, and you don't even have to give up on the looks:

vivab0rg··on Ten years of Ubuntu
Also ASUS netbook + Ubuntu LTS, flawless for years, to this day. Now it's mostly elementaryOS (also based off Ubuntu LTS) on every desktop/notebook, works just as well and it feels even lighter.

I've been using every LTS release since the first ever, and I can't praise it enough. Keep up the good work!

PS: I you like Fábio's work, consider tipping him[2] (I already did, with bitcoins! :)

vivab0rg··on PayPal’s Braintree Embraces Bitcoin, One-Touch Payments
I'm from Argentina and have 30+ transactions and 100% positive feedback BUYING bitcoins with my PayPal funds on Localbitcoins. Never disputed any transaction and usually send +4% ~ +6% to help the seller with the PayPal fees (plus, I my rates al always better than Bitstamp's).

Edit: My Localbitcoins user is vivab0rg if you'd like to check.
