It never fails to boggle my mind. The sheer amount of work, time and money that goes into "freeing" this hardware from the clutches of Apple's walled garden. Truly remarkable, but maybe it's just a first-world problem.

Noting that the point it not just avoiding telemetry, but actually having a tool as indispensable as your text editor not at the mercy of Microsoft whims.

Exactly the same experience. "Elm on the server" was on my dream list before choosing Elm over Typescript, but Roc seems to be so much more. Very exciting!

We need a Casey Muratori for the web.

I can't believe no one else is pointing this out. The reckoning will hit them like a freight train.

How the mighty have fallen.

Elm and Colemak.

Boy I'd really like to read your Yanis Varoufakis interview. He really had an interesting opinion about Bitcoin.

WTF? Source?

Argentinian here. Pretty much the same numbers apply to Argentina right now.

This comment is very insightful and the comparison is sound.

This has got to be one of the killer features of tmux.

Hello. I'm from Argentina. I retired before turning 50 thanks to crytpo. Now I'm really thinking to leave this place after my daughter turns 18. It's not proganda.

That was the first thing I thought. Jon Blow was spot-on.

I've also been into web dev for 20 years, Node for 5. This is exactly how I feel.

Touché.

> How long until Coinbase blocks the buying of popular tickers too because powerful hedge funds tell them?

Plot twist: they already have, and worse. Check the historic BCH fiasco.

Gone as well :(

This is just an oportunistic political move ahead of next year's elections. The government doesn't really care about abortion. Source: Argentinian living in Argentina.

Hello PHP.

MGTOW for life!

macOS 10.13 is the last macOS supported on my one and only Macbook Air 13" Mid-2011 :(

Golden video. Thanks for this.

Source please?

Already installing/upgrading to Ubuntu Budgie 20.04 on my notebooks after a surprisingly nice experience with Ubuntu Budgie 18.04.

And I did give Xubuntu, Lubuntu and Unity an sincere chance.

For hardcore work sessions nothing beats i3wm productivity tho.

I'm also in Argentina. Do you use a service or provider for this? How do you turn your DAI into cash? Thanks for your insight!

Talk about Karma.

Vimium is my favourite because its just good enough and it also works on Chrome.

My setup is Ubuntu Budgie and i3 for hardcore sessions, but I also have been using Ansible even for configuring my desktop with great success. It's really convenient when getting new hardware or doing a reinstall.

I've been using i3 for years but somehow I missed the scratchpad. It does sound like a time-saver. Thanks for your tips!
