vegnus··on Attention is all you have
Yeah, forums were social media too, but I dont remember people having such a negative reaction to forums as they do now to what replaced them, largely.
vegnus··on US Military had close call after using AI for hallucinated intelligence report
I hope I am alive for the history books of tomorrow.

"The Department of War (as it became known as), forewent it's traditional intelligence structure (the most expensive ever seen till that point), in order to have a private companies computer software generate viable targets for an upcoming operation. Believing that the software had real time updates on the current status and intelligence of the operation, as if it were some kind of oracle, the operation went as planned. Six schools, mistakenly identified as hostile targets (due to the heavy American bias in the softwares training data), were drone striked, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of innocents. Still, the people did nothing."

A language for LLMs will never be a compiled language. The best language for LLMs would be something that can be interacted with. Like a Lisp.

vegnus··on Local AI coding harness JSON AST to Clojure
I wanted to see if there was a way to get some kind of working code out of a small model like Gemma4 e2b. This is a harness that turns model output into a JSON AST that the harness then turns into Clojure. So far, it only does simple business logic but the goal is to eventually have plugins that expand the possible output. This was developed using Codex 5.5
vegnus··on If AI writes your code, why use Python?
Clojure or a Clojure-like will become the default for LLMs, or should be rather. It seems too good to ignore
vegnus··on If AI writes your code, why use Python?
https://martinalderson.com/posts/which-programming-languages...

This article claims that Clojure is the most token efficient language.
