Like getting a piece in the nytimes?
> Or start selling direct to consumer using marketplaces like Amazon.
Per the article, most consumer destinations ban any mask advertising because of scalping.
Do you have a guide for how this information should be used most effectively? I’m thinking of co-workers who would request a change that reduces the monthly cost by $10 but the time it takes to go through the code review and make the change and test it... by that point any $ cost saving has been spent on the time it spent in code review.
My instinct is that perhaps rather than reporting the $ or % change, instead projects could have alarms / limits on cost increases, but I’m not so sure if that is really tackling the problem.
You can absolutely argue that this was a laughable attempt to install an illegitimate government and you can absolutely argue that they have no chance of succeeding, but you can't argue it isn't the intent -- it's the entire basis of the Q Anon conspiracy. The laughable nature of their attempt doesn't disprove the intent.
“Where we stand today is we have four million doses available right now and we've got enough active that we think we will be able to make a further 15 million available to the UK by the end of this year. Subject to regulatory approval, it could actually be 19 million doses by the end of this year (to the UK)."
That seems like something has clearly gone wrong, if more than a month ago they were in that position and now we are so limited by available dosage.
I love the idea, just needs a better measurement.
Air travel doesn’t exist in isolation, less air travel _because_ less people are travelling means you would expect to see a reduction in car use too.
I guess my question is whether your vision is a digital version of traditional therapy, or if you see your mission as making therapy more accessible which _currently_ is digital traditional therapy but could evolve substantially over the coming years?
I don’t have an answer to that but it’s worth considering if the cost of using the value created by CloudFlare _is_ the lack of polish when features are launched.
GitLab is a good example of this phenomenon because it can be compared to GitHub: GitHub is high quality slowly whereas GitLab is lower quality faster... maybe CloudFlare is the GitLab to Akamai’s GitHub, both with their valuable place in the market.
You can get rich from drugs very easily but getting rich from drugs while minimising your risk enough to live out your days comfortably is hard.
The smart way for a nerd to get rich from drugs is to formulate a short-term high risk plan that utilises the dark net to acquire and sell drugs before moving on very quickly. The problem is, if you’re making a lot of money very quickly... can you give it up? What’s one more day? What’s another week? You’ve been going 6 months — what’s 7?
Drug dealing groups are not a carefully designed and well oiled machine, there’s no knowledge passed down from generation to generation: there’s a group of people who haven’t yet been caught out by their mistakes. The people mentioned in this article made a mistake by using this app, and that mistake finally caught up to them.
The whole drug industry is predatory, the smartest people involved in drugs are the most predatory because minimising risk for yourself means offloading that risk onto others using violence and coercion.
There’s no romantic art to drug dealing: if you’re smart and willing to hurt others, you can be a millionaire before the year is out.
Psalm on the other hand helps keep my code bug free through excellent static analysis.
Psalm is essential, insights is beneficial. I eagerly choose to use both, together, but in a world where you can use just one: Psalm.
““You can get online today and figure out how many tickets were sold to ‘The Martian,’ which I saw this weekend. . . . The CDC can do the same with the flu,” he continued. “It’s ridiculous — it’s embarrassing and ridiculous — that we can’t talk about crime in the same way, especially in the high-stakes incidents when your officers have to use force.””
“In New York, state officials now require a special prosecutor to investigate any death at the hands of police. In Texas, lawmakers recently approved legislation requiring local police to report shootings by their officers.”
“Until now, federal officials have relied on local police to report officer-involved shootings, but reporting is voluntary and typically occurs months after the fact.”
If you consider what happens in other countries, what happens when a citizen shoots someone, what is required of American police when they shoot someone and the accountability police face when they shoot someone unreasonably — it’s pretty clear “indiscriminately” and “with impunity” are valid descriptions of the current situation.

An average programmers job is 90% writing code that anybody with a year of experience could write, it’s the 10% where you’re bridging the gap between technology and business that can realise a whole new world of value — and that depends on soft skills.
You can find extreme examples — such as an allergy to sunlight — and sometimes the accommodation for those examples may be different to “banning carpet from the office”.
