They aren't training wheels, they are meant for advanced users who wants to save time.
Maybe USA and Europe. South America definitely not.
But I found JSX hard to read and there was no consensus on how to write CSS and some people were saying that it was ok to use inline styling. WTF? The web design community have been telling me the opposite for years!
Then I started working with Vue and everything fallen in place: no deprecated lifecycles, CSS into style tag and easy to read markup with no Array.map() returning HTML tags.
Fragmentation is bad, but is nice to have a balanced option between extremes.
Perhaps there's more than the catchphrase that can justify the smartphone-only format.
My requirements at the time were:
- Can be integrated in a Vue static site generator
- Has a free plan (single user)
- Could be hosted for free at least during development
- Could have relations ("Post" can have a "Category" field that list its content as options)
- Has a admin UI that a non-developer could figure out
