As long as you allow that society has the right to force people to be locked up without their consent because they broke a law, I don't think it's a stretch to say that society has the right to force people to do work.
What determines autonomous flying? Couldn't the drone just hover in the middle of the room and not crash? Would that count? Don't you need some sort of increased score for moving around?
I don't think this is true. I'm not an expert on application scale CPUs, but I think they actually have ROMs that control state machines that execute the instructions. This is similar to how regular instructions are stored in memory.
Right, you usually have some idea of how Look up tables an n bit add operation, or an n bit multiplexer etc takes up. You also need to take into account how much memory and multipliers you need since FPGAs have multiplier and ram blocks built in.
Yes, that is more or less true, the problem you would run into is communication between cores. When you have lots of cores you run into problems if they all want to talk to the same memories. If they were could all run more or less independently there is no real issues. The reason I list LUT4s, is newer chips have ALMs which is definitely apples to oranges. Also there Cyclone IV chips with much more than 22K LUTs.
