I use an older iPhone in airplane mode. I get over a week of battery life. I forward calls to my personal if I'm away from wifi and on-call, and they do not get my personal phone number.
Twitter indicates that their process is Human-controlled:
"...competitors could differentiate themselves by providing better moderation policies and whenever some popular account got banned from YouTube that would generate a lot of traffic for alternatives"

He even explained it with balls and magnets!
I used to have direct feeds from my YouTube subscriptions, but they either killed or moved that feature. This runs on the same $5 vm as my RSS feed reader and works great.

“One aspect we’ve never really had the opportunity to test is exactly how good Apple’s cores are in terms of memory bandwidth. Inside of the M1, the results are ground-breaking: A single Firestorm achieves memory reads up to around 58GB/s, with memory writes coming in at 33-36GB/s. Most importantly, memory copies land in at 60 to 62GB/s depending if you’re using scalar or vector instructions. The fact that a single Firestorm core can almost saturate the memory controllers is astounding and something we’ve never seen in a design before.”
The other pretty big problems are no backup solution, video exports limited to 10 minute clips, cloud account and Internet mandatory (at least for initial setup). What drives me bonkers is no support for valid SSL certificates because they don't want you to have to worry about that or something. It breaks the protect app when you don't use their snakeoil default.
I'd still be using Unifi Video, but they broke the iOS app for like a whole year so it was use protect or switch over to something that took in RTSP from the cams.
My guess is they managed to re-implement enough features in Protect that, after years of neglect, they could officially kill Video.
It's still not feature complete :-/
Other than the features others have mentioned here, and it having actually pretty good speakers, I don't have a good reason for spending extra over a normal iPad.
I'd do it again.
The 11" is so great for reading, my poor kindle only gets attention when I see the big dead battery image on it :(
