ultrafez··on Show HN: Timely for iPhone – Scheduling and Time Tracking, Simultaneously
In case you didn't know, there's an alarm clock app for Android also named Timely. Interestingly, it has a similar method of doing time selection as your app - touch and drag to select the time on a line.

Here's a link to the Android app's author's website: http://www.bitspin.ch/

ultrafez··on Show HN: Monitor.io – remote monitoring and debugging for socket.io
If you make it listen on 127.0.0.1 only, you'll only be able to connect to it from a shell on the local machine, which will alleviate all of your security issues.
ultrafez··on Post Mortem: A single whitespace character
The issue is you've got the following CSS on lines 31-33 of blog.css:

body.blog .blog-post p { overflow: scroll; }

ultrafez··on Post Mortem: A single whitespace character
In their CSS, they have a rule for every <p> tag to have "overflow: scroll" for some reason. Not sure why they didn't use the default value for overflow, since there's nothing on that page that needs to be specifically told to scroll.
ultrafez··on Show HN: Keyboards Club
You might want to replace the screenshots of the Android keyboards - you're using the screenshots of the cross-platform keyboards running on iOS devices, and they look different when running on Android devices.
ultrafez··on Anger mounts over Barclays ban on rooted Android phones
The concern is more to do with other apps reading the Barclays app's private data on the phone, which is possible if the other app has root permissions. Without root permissions, the Barclays app data is safe and only readable by itself. In its app data, it is storing some sort of token that can be used to perform actions as the user, and it's only protected by a 5-digit PIN. So, if other apps were able to extract this data, they could brute-force the PIN offline and gain access to the user's account.
ultrafez··on Anger mounts over Barclays ban on rooted Android phones
If you are rooted, you can get this behaviour by installing the Xposed Framework and then getting the XPrivacy module that is available for it. It allows you to permit/deny any requests for your information, and if you choose to deny them, it'll return empty/fake data (which is configurable).

It feels unreasonable that you have to go to these lengths to get this behaviour that should be built-in, but it's the best available currently.

Another method of getting similar behaviour is to enable the App Ops functionality which is built into Android 4.3 and 4.4, which allows you to enable/disable permissions in a granular fashion. The downside to this method is that if an app tries to use a permission that you have denied it access to, it might crash the app.

ultrafez··on Show HN: SuperTrip
This seems quite similar to Geocaching - did you take inspiration from it? In fact the only differences seem to be that there is no physical object at the destination, and that it's a race.
ultrafez··on Show HN: Bad Mouth - Make anyone say anything
People who don't have an iPhone might like to see how the app works.
ultrafez··on The brave new world of DIY faecal transplant
It shouldn't ever be the thing to do when you just have a cold, seeing as a cold is a viral infection. If you have an illness caused by a bacterial infection, then antibiotics are an option.
ultrafez··on This png encrypts to the same image
This image was the first time I've found it handy to have it installed. It's not as useful in day-to-day browsing as you might think.
ultrafez··on Exec($_GET
I thought this one[0] was a little ironic - it's part of the codebase for a vulnerability management system.

ultrafez··on Show HN: Hash your work and store it in a bank transfer for priority statement
If you were going to hash your document and store the hash in a bank transfer comment field, then it would be in your interest to make sure you don't modify the document in any way.
ultrafez··on Show HN: an online shop that bargains with you
Just so you know, your homepage's responsiveness doesn't work perfectly at all screen sizes. This is what it looked like for me running Chrome 33 on Ubuntu 13.04 http://i.imgur.com/DzXDUm6.png
ultrafez··on If The Moon Was Only 1 Pixel
Designing for one thing that's really good in a world of things that are average, isn't the best strategy. Reminds me of "Designed for IE6" and look where that got us.
ultrafez··on Password prompts are annoying
In this situation the user would already be logged in from opening newer emails, so opening the older emails would use their existing session, even though the token has expired.

Or if the user visits an old email without looking at a new email first, the user can just log in as usual.

ultrafez··on Gitbucket – The easily installable Github clone powered by Scala
The demo link should be right at the top of the GitHub description, as it should be with all projects that have demos.
ultrafez··on Streetpong [video]
This video is CGI - at the point it was filmed, it was just a concept, but it's had a positive reaction and so it's actually been installed.

ultrafez··on Alan Turing pardoned [pdf]
I hope this is real - but can anyone prove this is legitimate?
ultrafez··on GitHub's Explore Email
Take control of your phone: use an app like Tasker to set up profiles to silence notifications except for ones you specify, like phone calls and messages from certain numbers.
ultrafez··on Facebook vulnerability 2013
If that is how it works, then it appears that Facebook have fixed it - you now see the message "message could not be posted to this wall".
ultrafez··on Show HN: AngularJS responsive room search engine
I like it a lot. It would be useful to be able to shrink/hide the "Results" pane so as to be able to view the map almost full-screen; at certain window sizes, the Results pane takes up nearly 50% of the screen.

I will soon be flat-hunting, and I'll definitely give Kangaroom a try.

Edit: it's also nice to see something UK-specific for once :)

ultrafez··on Ask HN: So - what's the consensus on a Google Reader replacement?
This could benefit from being a poll.
ultrafez··on Poll: Full-time software engineers in London, what's your annual salary?
Wow, that's well above the norm. What job is it?
ultrafez··on Make our emails public? Open For Business
Sounds like a very interesting idea, I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I would imagine that it would be a good way of getting new customers if you were running the business properly, since people can make their own judgment on how well they trust the business owners.

One very interesting effect of allowing anyone to become business contributors is how it could change staff recruitment - you'd have a way of finding candidates who had not only a proven track record of good work, but also have extensive domain knowledge.
