I'm sure most people who work for flock compartmentalize their jobs to "I work on fingerprinting vehicles" or "I work on advanced OCR", or "I work on creating camera to camera trajectory graphs". This way they don't need to think about (too often) the larger ramifications of what they are doing. When the press points out what is the reality and that most people are pissed at Flock then the employees likely have to confront what they do in a way that they never had to.
If your fear is that there are voting rings (which apparently the system tries to detect) then resetting the rep will give them more relative power not less.
Personally I dont pay any attention to the rep of a user when evaluating how I should or should not engage with them. I think things are working just fine at the moment.
If you are frustrated by repetitive homepage content, I recommend you switch to the "new" view as there is lots of diversity there.
Again, if you have any proof that a cadre of nefarious high profile users are somehow abusing the system I would love to see it.

if I try to copy text?
I mean I know why but shame on them and their advertising "partners"
simonw and pfraze seem more than legit. Neither of them seem to be advertising. If I posted something related to where I work does that make it advertising?
This seems like a problem you manufactured yourself based on your two day old account to stir up some drama. That is not how this community works.
These fines and those on Facebook in the EU while astronomical in the traditional sense, are essentially the cost of doing business for social media.
This does not preclude the existence of regional and local tournament only clubs that don't have the staffing overhead and travel requirements of nationally competitive clubs. These regional/local clubs sell a different product, one not related to D1 recruiting.
I personally feel that there are more opportunities for kids to (continue to) play today than there were a generation ago. When I was young organized sports (outside of school) ended at middle school unless you played on a national team. Sure the national team is way more expensive today but that does not mean that there are not opportunities to play at other levels with clubs offering a different product.
The hard part is that there is essentially no such thing as customer service "at scale" not that any company actualy wants to invest in it. Still the internet could have dramatically improved customer service but instead it killed it.
In the near future when I want customer service to address an issue, I'll have my AI agent contact their AI agent and their agent can tell my agent to eat shit. End result will be the same though no such thing as customer service will exist.
