I worked in startup for a long time, wearing lots of hats some in writing code, some in optimizing the process, infrastructure, cloud costs, sometimes writing docs and helping QA's fly with code, instead of manually clicking. I'm looking for a full stack role to deepen my backend, system desigd and hopefully AI integration skills further.

twohaibei··on OpenSpec – A lightweight and configurable AI spec framework
I think the premise is that when agent modifies the code with human instruction explicitly saying spec has changed, the agent goes to the spec and updates it. But maybe giving it too much of credit and projecting what I think it should do.
twohaibei··on GPT-6 Astra
I think John Romero would disagree.

Im a pretty universal guy, love to learn. I worked in startup for a long time, wearing lots of hats some in writing code, some in optimizing the process, sometimes writing documentation and coaching QA's in writing tests. I'm looking for a full stack role to deepen my backend and system design skills further. Ideally in company that is not scared of AI.

twohaibei··on Qwen3.8-Flash-Next: A New Architecture, Towards Ultimate Cost-Efficiency
0.03 / 0.075 ? Where can i get that prices? Especially during peak hours DS4flash became much more money hungry than last month.

twohaibei··on Opinionated and easy Pi.dev configuration

I worked as frontend dev for a long time (love performance optimization), expanded to more backend focused roles over time to have e2e impact and reduce waste. Im looking for a fullstack role, preferably with backends in node/elixir/ruby. I love those languages and would like to continue being exposed to those ecosystems.

twohaibei··on California legislature agrees to upload driver's licenses to national database
They "pledged" not to do it, which is much easier to do than take a real action. As they say, money doesn't stink.
twohaibei··on Surprise, pay $1000
Whats worse, if people stay with them after such a scummy behavior, they will keep doing it.
twohaibei··on Sam Altman's Business Dealings Under GOP Scrutiny Ahead of OpenAI's IPO
I think he meant there is no punishment... quite the opposite.
twohaibei··on Zed 1.0
I thought I was going crazy, but on my M3 pro with 36gb, 300 line file is... Weird when I scroll up/down. It's just not smooth. I don't know how to explain it, but I don't like that effect.
twohaibei··on Zed 1.0
I think that's why fork "Gram" exists. It strips all the weird parts and leaves just the editor.
twohaibei··on Show HN: boringBar – a taskbar-style dock replacement for macOS
I'm pretty sure people who give in to subscriptions are usually forced to use a tool (or adobe) for one reason or another. New tool, that does one small thing, would not force many people to go into that absurd payment model.
twohaibei··on We moved Railway's frontend off Next.js. Builds went from 10+ mins to under 2
If you consider that, you might also want to take a look at Astro.js

FWIW with pretty aggressive uBlock setup its "just" 7MB and 1.6s to load, so it might be just their love for analytics, tracking, measuring and lack of smart code splitting thats killing the performance.
twohaibei··on Git commands I run before reading any code
`git change` can switch branches too if thats easier to grasp :)
twohaibei··on OpenAI to double workforce as business push intensifies
Maybe they know something more than they advertise publicly
twohaibei··on A man who broke into jail
I recommend reading on "Witold Pilecki" - old story, but pretty fascinating.
twohaibei··on How we rebuilt Next.js with AI in one week
Solid.js might be interesting to you.
twohaibei··on Google restricting Google AI Pro/Ultra subscribers for using OpenClaw
Zen browser. Or floorp.
twohaibei··on Ask HN: Share your personal website
Beautiful photos.
twohaibei··on I changed my address, and TransferWise in two days will empty my account
I had similar problem. They demanded some documents for KYC, and my "address of operation" did not match "address of registration", or something similar. It took me over a month of writing with their support to even get any info WHAT is wrong, then couple of days on chats with them to straighten it out. Terrible system demanding a lot of my energy and time to get back access to MY MONEY. Because of course they blocked withdrawal/payments from my account.
twohaibei··on 'Big Balls' No Longer Works for the US Government
This title is amazing. What a time to live in. I had no idea what the article is about until i opened and read it :) I was expecting middle-east negotiations commentary to be honest.
twohaibei··on Letter to Arc Members 2025
Arc died to me when they updated to manifest v3 and my uBlock Origin stopped working. Instantly uninstalled and switched to Zen Browser.
twohaibei··on Stimulation Clicker
Emails are so funny... :)
twohaibei··on New Level of Interview Hell
Wow. Reddit comments contains a company name. First step felt familiar so i just found an email from them in my inbox. Looks like i dodged a bullet 2 months ago. In the first step they wanted me to turn on a camera and do some live programming while being recorded. All without any human contact, all automated emails. It rubbed me the wrong way and ignored them. After reading what the next steps are I'm glad i trusted my intuition.
twohaibei··on Judge: Zuckerberg not liable for social media harm to children
This has been clear for a long time. The question is who has the power and will to do something sufficient about it to stop it. The money is so huge they can buy enough protection. And social media is not even the only one doing it knowingly. But until fine < profit, fines will be paid. And until execs dont go to jail, they will still be happy to rake in the billions.
twohaibei··on Trump wins presidency for second time
IMO Ex-president is a better credential than having a long political career, which often means, connected, corrupted and conformist.
twohaibei··on Trump wins presidency for second time
Only if you assume people who voted for Biden in 2020 would vote for Harris in 2024.
twohaibei··on Apple Removes Ability to Run Unsigned Apps in macOS 15.1
