To be meta-fair, most means those who have a brand name (those you could distinguish when you buy).
What irked me is that's just about all the author's got to say about Perl in the article. Other languages inherited this "feature" (Ruby anyone?) or equivalents, but no mention of that. Why even mention Perl if he's got nothing (solid) to say about it?

That's not the same question as whether or not it's legitimate for allies to spy on each other. Oh, sorry, for the US to spy on France and for France to spy on the US.

For all I know, Microsoft announced it in reaction to the publication, but I have no clue Google could have been made aware of it beforehand.

I come from Unix, I'd have expected b or backspace to scroll up a page, been disappointed by browsers numerous times, and just lived without it.

What's in use here is more widely known as “process substitution”.
I just meant to say it's just as sensible to regulate ammo than it is to regulate guns, and (IMHO) easier. That doesn't mean home ammo is out of reach. Just like I don't think home-built guns are.
