It's like https://github.com/NotionX/react-notion-x but much less worked on (bare essentials) and doesn't need a server per se, it runs on a serverless worker.
Remember, hardware is getting more powerful and cheaper.
Sort of what you would do to get your analytics script past UBlock.
Like, use Cloudflare worker or something to proxy your analytics script and it won't get blocked.
Just a thought, far from sure.
Yesterday, they posted LiveView Native and now— this.
I'm pretty happy (much like others) with GitHub now more than ever. Github has been releasing new features left and right.
Some of them are an unwelcome sight (think Github Badges) while others (think Github Issues) are a super productive enhancement imo.
Not sure if it's the right thing, that's debatable on what you value more.
After a little digging, this might be the framework the author is using. I'm not sure. However, the benefits of this are pretty vague.
However, I do agree that we don't have a true social platform (not a corp with other objectives).
We can bemoan this all we want but if they weren't doing it, someone else would've been.
Alternatives can be created over and over but as long as those are consumption-driven corporations, they will try extract every single second of our attention possible. That IS their business after-all.
- what you should censor
- whether you should censor
when running a social media (more like an ad-platform but irrelevant to the point I'm making) service to this scale serving people from every demographic.
Anything you do is wrong.
If you don't censor, there's misinformation on a platform you control and you will be responsible for further conspiracies and actions/campaigns stemming from it in the worst case scenario. The cost outweighs the benefit. On the other hand, if you do censor, you piss people off anyway.
I don't know, I'm always skeptical of free products now, it feels as if something critical is missing.
Paying for a service at least gives me peace of mind that I'm consuming a service I selected. Free services seem to be out in the wild.
No one is forcing anyone to use these new ways.
It’s a win-win.
People know better in terms of what's spam and even understand dark patterns in legitimate products.
If you dislike it so much, simply don’t use it. I don’t use it either but calling it stupid is not a stretch. It’s worse.
Aversion towards new way of doing things where people feel like the old way was just working is too common and predictable sometimes. “Things work” using old way, but, does that mean that no optimizations are to be made? Optimizations further lead to reiteration of the way we do things.
Also, an individual can stick to their old way of doing things but to rant over the new way is just- tasteless.
If not, well- I don't have much to add, good luck!
However, nothing inherently wrong with that.
With that being said, the website is not responsive.
Have a look:

[Tetra](https://www.tetraframework.com/) might be an alternative if you’re hell-bent on not using React.
But, if you want to ship quick, have a maintainable codebase in a technology a lot of devs are familiar with and have the power to instantly ship for mobile (and buy yourself some time to build one in React Native; code is going to be similar to React.js), I’d recommend using React.
You can use Capacitor.js for instantly shipping a mobile app with your codebase that “just works”. Use Capgo for affordable codepush and you’re set!
HTMX all the way if you’re not building an app cause not everything is an “app”.
At the same time, if you’re building an app with a framework unlike Phoenix, I don’t see why one would not go ahead and use a decent JS framework. Using frontend framework seems to be facing a lot of aversion and I don’t understand if it’s because of the inability to learn these frameworks or what.
Point is, your users just need a snappy app that works. That’s it! And using a robust frontend framework makes it easier.
