Erwin Schroedinger himself wrote a beautiful essay "What is life" [1] where he addressed those topics.

toppy··on Show HN: pgMagic – a Mac Postgres client that lets you query in natural language
Put priority on local models and aims for data analysts. Both SQL syntax and a structure of the database even for big project are simple and users will ask relatively simple questions. I bet you don't even need "large" language models for this.

There is also a great documentation on the topic (and CRDT) by /u/raphlinus: https://xi-editor.io/docs.html

Jay, I liked your tutorial on Transformer models. Helped me a lot when I read it in 2020. One of the best resources on a topic then. Thanks for your work! Fingers crossed for your new endeavour.
toppy··on Yoshua Bengio: How Rogue AIs May Arise
This is so on par with Frank Herbert's prophecy from Dune: "Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them."
toppy··on Ibramenu: Bash-based self-hosted app deployment

toppy··on Ask HN: How do startups/lean teams successfully handle mat/pat leave?
Not quite connected to the main topic but Mat & Pat (originally 'Pat & Mat') [1] was the cult bedtime cartoon in the 70s and 80s in communist block countries. As the main (and only) two characters were great tinkerers I thought you might like it. Just to get a taste [2]

toppy··on Show HN: Analyzing top HN posts with language models
People seem to be more engaged in discussions arising from questions rather than statements, no?
toppy··on Show HN: Analyzing top HN posts with language models
I don't know how HN score metrics work but after some short review of the datafile [1] I've noticed a lot of the posts has the form of a simple questions and as such seems to be naturally biased when comes to user engagement. Have you considered to add additional metrics to remove that bias and re-analyze?

Similiar tool would be great for movie players - interface where one can see overall view of a plot but also references to particular actor's appearance for instance.
