> As an organization that values diversity and inclusion, we are investing in the accessibility of our services to make them available to as wide a range of people as possible. As many as 26% of the US population has some form of disability and may rely on screen readers/magnifiers, captions in videos, alternate input devices, and other tools to help them access information on the web.

It's rather bold for the CNCF to describe themselves in this way, after the controversy around last-minute dropping their mask mandates for their conference, thereby putting any immune-compromised members of their community, and those with other underlying conditions, at risk (or stuck with non-refundable travel plans)... then accusing community members of Code of Conduct violations for speaking passionately about the change.

Of course, this doesn't detract from the fact that what they are doing for web accessibility is a good thing! Organizations with flaws should still be acknowledged for their independent initiatives to do good. But statements like "an organization that values X" should not erase the full context of their actions as a whole.

They dropped the mask requirement on a Friday (April 22nd), then on Monday (April 25th) sent out "We have reconsidered this decision, and the mask mandate will stay in place for the events."

What a sense of entitlement...

What are those CNCF members who are immune-compromised or have underlying conditions doing at such conferences without Hazamat suits?

They're entitled to stay at home and seek ways to protect themselves, not to demand anything from others.

That's what making unreasonable demands on others is - a violation of CoC.

Forget the homepage. This is the real treasure: https://landscape.cncf.io/

The landscape view is cool, nice to be able to drill down into sub-sections ... e.g. https://landscape.cncf.io/serverless
