It is fantastic to see that you are working to help fix the problems!
Most studies show that a user can miss quite a few, such as 4 days in a row[1], and not ovulate.

I think he would be extremely lucky to average 6% if he kept it all in savings accounts: http://swanlowpark.co.uk/savingsinterestannual.jsp
Regarding stocks + shares: "For most of the past century, anyone investing for a 30-year period has been rewarded with a return in excess of inflation of between 4pc and 8pc a year if they were sensible about re-investing the dividend income from their holdings." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/comment/tom-stevenson/846... You then take into account management fees, tax, relative currency value etc.
If you cannot change jobs now, why don't you add to your skill set over the next year with the view of using these enhanced skills when you can look for a new job?
Its just about simple bacteria spread - would you want your immunocompromised relative in contact with a doctor that has just been in contact with a contagious infection source without at least trying to minimise the chance of cross infection?
The stethoscope is a similar concern - rarely cleaned properly, often present.
They have mostly died out. Have you explored why and what you will do to succeed when these people have closed their businesses?
Everyone is chasing the dream and everyone thinks that they will be the 1 in 1000 that makes it big.
The medication costs, especially the fluids, are much higher. I checked a UK pharmacy for costs for buying small amounts so the discount they get for buying in bulk suggests a very large mark up in price.

Is it speculation in value if they were all acquired just now?
Is it the combined total for sales + funding raised?
Is it the output of a formula?
If you cannot talk to anyone that is close to you, or if you are more comfortable with it, then please find your local phone line such as www.samaritans.org in the UK or www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org in the US
I must say that a unique benefit about Scotland for entrepreneurs is that higher education is free. This reduces the debt burden of a new graduate significantly that helps with any new venture.
I do agree that the money spent on bureaucracy by government bodies that are meant to boost enterprise is wasteful, although the new gov.uk web project suggests that sometimes projects can be done well at a decent price.
I echo nthj's comments in saying that tax breaks are the easiest way to benefit all small enterprises, from tech start ups, to new retail shops, plumbers starting their first business etc.
A lot of people are put off by "therapy" but it is worth going to an initial meeting with the therapist and finding out what the plan would be. If you decide that ongoing meetings is not for you then they may be able to give you a few exercises to do at home.

Here is some information. You do not necessarily need to speak first to a GP
Pain is an incredibly subjective area though. Some people gain great relief from simple measures such as heat treatment while others with similar injuries/problems will need strong opiods.
I have a lot of friends that have started down the route to become a consultant oncologist but changed after a few years of training.
At medical school you learn to develop algorithms to deal with inputs and act upon the output.
Out of medical school you are meant to keep up to date with countless updates in clinical practice based on mountains of studies and publications. Plenty of data is not distributed.
This is a great step forward for medicine.
Whenever I enter a bank to deposit an occasional cheque they are desperate to offer personal loans, investment advice, mortgages, credit cards etc.
A polite decline is often ignored and they aggressively go for the sale.
Industrialisation and international commerce led to a new type of self made wealthy business man.
Before then, the super rich inherited their fortune. The established upper class were known for their impracticality to show that they did not have to work - being pale skinned to highlight that they did not labour outside, extravagant clothing to highlight their status, frills etc.
These new self made business men, such as factory owners, were proud of their new status but wanted to distance themselves from inherited wealth. They stuck to practical, but finely made, clothing.
Future ill health allow these to reactivate.
For example, India, Russia and China have a large amount of TB. Some patients start treatment regimes but do not complete them. The bacteria develops resistance and then spreads.
Allow this to happen over millions of individuals then throw in international travel, bringing the infection to areas that do not suspect it quite as often. London is having a TB boom due to immigration. (disclosure: I am a doctor, partner specialises in infectious disease)
