The bottom of your article also suggests people use MD5 and salts, so clearly you aren't in a position to be criticizing anyone's password policy :)
If someone were to write a "Problems with PHP and Proper Password Hashing" post it would be #1 for weeks!
Why is "@bubbles" all over the place? You don't even own the Twitter handle.
I'm more curious why the hell they chose 'ingress' and 'egress' instead of the far more commonly accepted "inbound" and "outbound" terms.

I do not see any begin(), rollback() or commit()'s in your code. According to the mysql-python docs, http://mysql-python.sourceforge.net/FAQ.html#my-data-disappe..., autocommit is disabled by default. Therefore each of your workers appears to be operating inside one very large transaction and never actually committing anything to the database?
Can you clarify?
"MEMSQL IS 30 TIMES FASTER THAN MYSQL."
It's an extremely invalid and biased comparison. You're quite literally comparing the speed of writing to RAM versus the speed of writing to disk. If you didn't make such ridiculous assertions, people would accept your product for the actual awesome things it does and not focus on refuting your bullshit claims.
So, what your video is saying, is that your speedboat is 80,000 faster than MySQL with an anchor attached. Seems like a fair comparison.
I guess he could just bump all the songs to $10 and see if sales increase/decrease/etc over a period of time. Pricing is definitely an interesting problem, for all startups.
The same provisioning taxes & fees apply to the phone line itself, regardless of your usage. Sonic doesn't own the telephone line itself. AT&T or whomever does. And you can be sure they aren't letting Sonic use those lines for free.
If not, they should be starting to do so :)

Always returns xhr-polling method which really isn't ideal for this.
The fact that your benefits happen to solve their problems is just a convenient coincidence.
Looks like they didn't actually do any of the remediation steps.
I'd wager they query their data frequently and in a predictable manner, at which point using some sort data structure actually designed for fast searching (such as a simple btree in most rdbms) makes perfect sense here.
If the data is purely for archive purposes and is rarely queried or is queried in very random patterns that can't really make adequate usage of indices, then I'd agree with your suggestion.
