tiedemann··on Extra security measures for next week's releases
I, for one, welcome our new secure PostgreSQL overlords!
tiedemann··on The language of Vim
As as swedish keyboard-user I can say that this often resolves to remapping a large quantity of bindings which then are not supported by all plugins.

It's doable sure, it still takes time and energy though.

I'm never using my mouse when using Sublime Text 2, this is a troll :)
tiedemann··on Taking a stand on open source and patents
If Apple, MS, Samsung, Sony and other large patent-holding companies dare go along I for one welcome our new Google overlords.
tiedemann··on A Note from one of Cloudflare's upstream providers
Word. Respects given to serving in text/plain (as is proper in this context).
tiedemann··on Web Framework Benchmarks
Really depends on which kind of app you're working on. My main work app is 99% cached content so it would probably work just fine with almost anything. Developer time is certainly the biggest expense in my case so high-level it is.
tiedemann··on Sublime Text 3 Beta
Moving to 3 from 2 is a no-brainer most of the time. http://docs.python.org/dev/library/2to3.html
tiedemann··on Things That Are Never Admitted About Open Source
99% of "OSS"-devs I know use Apple products, probably the least FOSS-compatible company I can think of.
tiedemann··on Web Developer Checklist
Really good for showing customers/bosses/coworkers why a site need those extra hours of love after the proof-of-concept stage.
tiedemann··on Whatever It Takes: Visualizations in E-mail with d3.js
This made me remember the awesome feature CreateHtmlBody (in CDOSYS) for classic ASP. Many mails were sent using that :)
tiedemann··on Git shortcuts like you've never seen before
Me too! I actually bought myself a Topre RealForce keyboard just to ewnjoy it even more.

Knowing vanilla git commands is still important too.

tiedemann··on Warning Signs that Agile Is Declining
I once worked in a very nice team. We used Scrum. We delivered before deadline and the bugs were few. The scrum master was a developer gone PM but with total understanding of which problems you come across as a software developer.

The project would probably have been ok without agile since most of the team was good at their job but I felt it made the process more inspiring and fun. It makes me sad that a lot of people seem to just dismiss it because of bad practices.
