The leadership sitting on a board with a mandatory retirement age at 65 who is 64 will lobby all involved to change that rule to keep going to 70. The terms are negotiable. You would have to think in our time of climate crisis that using 7 or 8 hours of a 24 hour slot and wasting all that energy for 16 hours is not something the law firm that negotiated the terms would be embarrassed by. To make it right, a regulator could force Apple to limit the rental minimum slot time according a labor board's idea of a programming work day at 7 to 16 hours and not 24. Write a letter and email your politician?
The MIT licensed Essence Operating System is a good stylistic match for the laconic mindset of the Chinese unfettered by Communist Party idealogues. Vector based screen rendering at speed and smallsize. Greenfield new start. Gnome is possibly a political quagmire and there are corner use cases where it has been unresponsive to user wants, such as, the cause of TUI/GUI crashes to Emacs using the Gsomething X toolkit, doesn't happen to Lucid.
The ULA CEO shared information detailing the lowest energy path from Earth to Moon. It takes a long while as if ocean surface shipping is to express airfreight. As an aside, the documentary on Atari describes the workers getting their teeth done and having happy smiles when the company was profitable and the wealth trickled down to the ordinary workers.
Apple doesn't have the technical imagination to spend the cash it has on hand in the fashion Elon Musk and his talented C-suite teams have. Give Apple the last 10-years todo-over and they still fail to achieve half a Tesla or a quarter SpaceX or an eighth Starlink. The three combined? No frickin way. Apple's billions and billions of dollars will likely get spreadsheeted to the legal and accounting departments.
Gilbert Burns and Diego Sanchez of UFC are examples of fit and healthy bodies reacting differently to this disease in the extreme. Prolonged lockdown conditions on people like Giblert Burns, who experienced mild flulike symtoms, will experience knock on effects such as risk of heart disease and diabetes due to not enough exercise of the heart and circulation. Diego Sanchez has spots on his lungs and bloodclots in his legs.
Apple and ARM got together in the period of Apple's CSO who knew a thing or two. The Qualcomm/Microsoft claims to a monopoly business deal will have to stand before a disinterested court of justice to be decided years and years down the road. By then it won't matter.

Tiny satellites, the size of Nvidia CG marbles, solarsail racing on a two week low Earth orbit, before burning up in the atmosphere, is a new business model they can branch to in real newspace.
Isn't a better allocation of scarce engineering resources on the POWER platform to implement a RDP client to x86 commodity desktop environment for the commercial consumer experience on the web with the benefit of offsetting and isolating potential security breach to that environment? Has anyone made the POWER CPU a raw node for crunching styled on the Plan 9 idea of cpu% ?
Going earlier has the advantage of fighting a 79 year old POTUS before he dies like the Soviet era elderly leader of the Communist Party. Fighting and winning through all of the winter will go down well in the history books, forever.
